Hi Cindy. I don't take Citricell but I have found out that things that are marked Sugar Free may and often do, have sugar alcohols and artificial sweeteners. They are just as bad and sometimes even worse than sugar and sometimes they aren't so bad. It just depends on the individual and how they react to them. But they do sometimes raise your blood sugar....Google sugar alcohols.
Here is a link to an article on SparkPeople about them.
Ok I think I may have found out why my BS is high in the am too. I took my BS 2 hrs after dinner was 109. Drank my citricell and it went to 149 stayed that way. Even tho it is sugar free it must have carbs in it. Going to look on the net and check it out because I did not see it on the container. Anyone else notice this? Ok guess I should have looked it up first. Net says 0 carbs. huh.
