Thank you so much for replying. I have gone to weight watchers before, so I'm trying to stop counting points and start counting carbs. Tracking is a great idea, again. I had done it with ww but got to know what I was eating so I stopped journaling. I'll get out my book again. Thx so much
It's a big thing to wrap your head around! I am new to this too (2 months) and the biggest "ah-ha" that I have to share is this: Have your doctor or nutritionist tell you how many carbs you should be eating at B, L, D and snacks through the day. Then, track everything you eat and drink to mointor this number. Keeping your carb intake at an even level throughout the day is what really helps! I am working on trying to meal plan ahead of time, so I am not scrambling around looking for something to eat when hungry -- I am trying to make all food choices good ones! Good luck!

Good Morning, I have been newly diagnoses with type 2 diabetes. There are so many things going thru my head. What to Eat? When to eat? Meat vs All Veggies? Exercise? How much Exercise? How many Carbs? Etc., Etc. Any good reading material anyone can suggest? Thank you in advance of all your help. Patti
