No medication. A little higher than I like but it drops during the day as I move more. This is my morning fasting number and mornings are always higher due to inactivity while sleeping (no muscle activity to burn glucose off).

Received "official" diagnosis of type 2 yesterday. Will start taking oral medication next week when it comes in (mail order prescriptions). My doctor told me to start walking 10 minutes a day, watch my carbs and sugar intake, and go to a diabetes class. My class is next week (August 21). My dad and both of my brothers are/were diabetic so I wasn't surprised. I have been self-testing for about a year.

I cut down my evening snack from a full Atkins bar (with peanut butter on top) to half a bar. It does make a difference. I'm around 6.6 mmol/L rather than 7.3.

No diabetes medication for 26 months now. WOO HOO.

glucose monitor test 110mg/dl at 0700hrs (fasting). My next test is before going to sleep. I test twice a day as per recommendation from my RN..

No meds. A few days ago I was doing renovation work and didn't have time to eat properly and ate 3 Atkins bars (19 grams of carbs each) in addition to some other carbs, probably bringing me to near 100. My morning BS then was 8.7 mmol/L. ( 157 mg/dL).

Yes 90 grams of carbs in a day is too much for me.
