I will have to ask for their help. I always drop into a health food store near where I work. It is a college town so it has a much larger selection of things. I made a vegan pumpkin pie last year and plan on repeating it this year. There is an ingredient that I couldn't find in the health food section of my grocery store that they had there. I will probably spend the extra money and get the GF crust there, too. I'll make two pies. Wheat crust and condensed milk with pumpkin for my family and GF crust and vegan for me. Enjoyed the beautiful weekend. What a nice surprise for November! I was beginning to think global warming wouldn't be such a bad thing after all.
No, I haven't. I avoid cheese because it is a trigger food for me in addition to having a milk allergy. Cheese has something in it called casein that has qualities that make you want more. Your health food store or Whole Foods store might be more helpful, though. Blessings

Glad to see someone else is here too! I don't bother to substitute for milk, I just avoid it. I have gotten used to having juice on my cereal instead of milk. The hardest thing for me was not giving up milk, but the cheese and ice cream. I found a coconut milk based ice cream that is really expensive, but actually good. Luckily I don't crave ice cream in the winter, just summer...Cheese, however, is hard for me all year. Have you found a good replacement for cheese?
I am also allergic to wheat and dairy. Instead of dairy I drink almond milk. I want to start making my own bread. We could use quinoa flour, amarynth (sp?), or rice flour, I would use brown rice flour because it is healthier than white. Blessings
