It is a good program - I recently did it (about 2 months ago) - I like to jump start every so often

~Debi~ ~Carpe Diem~

I wake up every day with the realization that this is it, that there's only one shot at this life and I can either enjoy the ride and live it to its fullest and to my highest potential or I can stay the way I am.

For anyone who leans towards clean eating and wants a quick start to your exercise program, I thought this was interesting:

Jay Robb's fruit flush consists of a 3-day flush, based on the following:

Protein Day:
Day 1: for the first 8 hours, every 2 hours I will be drinking an 8 ounce whey protein shake (25g), followed by an 8 - 12 ounce glass of water an hour after drinking the protein shake. (125g of protein w/be consumed on day 1)

... for dinner, I am allowed a 3 - 6 cup vegetable salad and 3 - 6 ounces of a lean protein, like chicken, fish, beef or 4 - 8 egg whites scambled in 1 tsp. of olive oil. The salad is to be topped with 1-2 tablespoons of olive or flax oil (or 1/2 avocado) and the juice of 1 lemon or lime.

Fruit flushing days:
Days 2 - 3: The first 8 hours, every 2 hours 1 serving of fruit is to be eaten {example serving size: 2 cups cantaloupe, 2 medium apples, 1. 5 cups of blueberries, etc.}...

... for dinner, 3 - 6 cups raw vegetable salad, topped with 1 -2 tablespoons of olive or flax oil (or 1/2 avocado) and the juice of 1/2 lemon. Follow with a protein shake mixed as follows:

12 oz pure water
5 tbs high-quality whey or egg white protein powder
2 tbs psyllium seed husks (optional for added fiber)... I use 2 tsp. of Benefiber
Shake or blend; then drink slowly

I have my shopping list and will buy all of my fruit and greens tomorrow. I am looking forward to doing this detox. The last time I did it I lost all cravings for sweets and I felt so much energy afterward. I will say that I had to modify it at one point, I was too hungry so I ate more fruit to alleviate the hunger.
