The way I look at carb cycling is... the ONLY thing you should be cycling are the startchy carbs (like rice, bread, oats, potatoes, corn, etc...) the foods that contain carbs, but mostly in the form of fibre (as most fruit and veggies do!) are totally acceptable on a low carb day!

And it would be such a shame to waste home grown tomatoes!!! emoticon

A whole medium tomato has approx 22 calories, 5 g of carbs, and 1.5 g fiber (net carbs 3.5 g). IMO, that is really not a whole lot of carbs. Tomatoes also have a lot of nutritional benefits. I say go for it.

SO can you eat tomatoes on a low carb day? they seem to have a lot of carbs in them. I havent seen anything that says no, but I havent seen them on an approved list either...

?

My garden just seems to be full of ripened tomatoes right now- and I normaly eat them with fat free cottage cheese and on my salads.
