... and of course lets not forget:

- stalks of celery with low or no fat cream cheese

- no or low fat onion/veggie dip (you can use the soup mix) and raw veggies like green/red peppers, broccoli, cauliflower, carrot chips (easier to chew)...

.... I carry a cooler with me when I am out and I prepare some of the following for quick fill-in snacks:

1.) Hummus filled boiled eggs: half boiled eggs, scoop out the yolk and replace with hummus... my favorite is "Atheno brand Cracked Roasted Red Pepper"

Nutritional value: (2 egg whites w/2 servings (4 TBSP)of hummus is: Cal. 160, fat: 6g carbs: 10g, fiber: 2g, protein: 8g...(net carbs: 8g)

2.) Romaine lettuce - or - flour tortilla wraps: wrap lunch meat, cheese, tomato, onions, roasted red bell peppers, whatever sandwich fixings you want, in a large romaine lettuce leaf...or a tortilla of your choice...
... a great spread for a flour tortilla and turkey wrap is: 1 tablespoon of low fat cream cheese and cranberry relish, mixed together; this is so good...a good brand to try is: "Stonewall Kitchen New England Cranberry Relish ", $5.99 per jar (www.amazon.com)

This is one thing I'm still working on - I do GREAT when I'm at work and have access to a microwave and blender, but times like last weekend when I didn't made it very challenging to plan/pack appropriately.

Looking forward to the awesome ideas.

We are all so busy and many of use still need to eat on the go. Planning and packing a cooler is a great way to make sure you stay on target. Sharing these ideas may help others with their goals as well. So what is your favorite "On The Go" meal?
