If you use flax seed, only leave a small portion out at a time and store the rest in the fridge. Flax goes rancid fairly quickly, and even faster if it's already ground. I'd recommend buying whole seeds and grinding just enough for a couple of days.

...Kashi is a great cereal, good fiber... add a lean protein to that like boiled egg whites, scrambled egg whites,etc... and it will prevent a spike in your blood sugar and keep your glucose levels balanced... that is the key to carb cycling...

Typically whenn following a low carb diet, breakfast SHOULD be the only meal with carbs in it!
However, you have many options to eat breakfast without carbs too... -Cottage cheese Dry curd (regular cottage cheese and most other dairy HAS carbs in it!) -eggs (hardboiled, make an omlette or however else you like em!) -chicken breast with veggies (I add salsa and cheese!)
