Hi, I haven't been on here for a while either, but have the same problem. I LOVE my red wine, but will drink the whole bottle if it's there :( The alocohol was the main cause of my weight gain last year and what helped was to say I would only drink on the weekend, but now I would like to curtail that some more so I don't go overboard and have a more healthy approach to drinking. Anyone else have any tips?
I just joined yesterday. Let's get this group going again. I really need support. I like the idea of a moderate approach where I just limit alcohol to maybe one evening a week - and not get stinking-ass drunk either. But I don't know if I can just have a couple glasses of wine and then switch to water. My pattern in the past has been that if I have One glass, I'll have another, and another until it's gone or I'm ready for bed. I probably should avoid alcohol completely. I've lost 15 out of 40 pounds which is great, but I have a long way to go, too.

I just joined! Guess I joined at a bad time if it hasn't been too active ;) I enjoy my drinks but I make it where I can enjoy them and still keep up a healthy lifestyle. I've known many people who completely cut out alcohol, but I feel like a balanced approach works better for me. I've really enjoyed having a lighter dinner and a couple of drinks some nights during the week. Luckily I prefer lighter, yet potent drinks though. I really hate to feel full from drinking.
