Shamib, along that line, I find cooking less food means less left overs. I do like to freeze the meat, but other than that, enough is enough.

getting rid of the left overs is key for me. Not one stitch of pie left for Friday morning. I ate a bit too much but only on Thursday.

Looking for more motivation to exercise harder

Get in a daily walk if you can as that will help. I have noticed that walking has gotten rid of some belly fat. I have read several articles in Prevention magazine about walking off belly fat and it works. Plus, walking is so stress free on your body and so beneficial.

The best thing for the inside of a woman is the outside of a horse. SADDLE UP AND RIDE!!!

I didn't do so well. I gained 6 pounds over a two week span (big 5 day race and then Thanksgiving). We had turkey and stuffing left over. Both are all snug and frozen in the freezer. But it's been hard trying to get back to logging and blogging. And next up is Christmas!!

Everything goes in the garbage or the freezer on Monday after Thanksgiving and I am feeling much better after one and half days of eating sugar/wheat free. I plan to continue the three day cycles of sugar/wheat fasting until Christmas when the goodies come out again. I love how quickly I can feel better, when I get back on program. I have not lost any weight since April, but I have not gained either. Starting in January I would like to buckle down and start losing again. I still have 50 more pounds to shed.

Good for you. How is the lap band working out for you? My cousin has one, and has lost a tremendous amount of weight. He weighed over 400 when he had it put in. I do know he has lost over 200 pounds with it. The leftovers are getting to me too, but I am winning the battle lol. It is the stuffing that is my weakness.

Being my first Thanksgiving with the lap band I had quite a challenge. No gravy for me or rolls but i ahd Turkey breast in the crockpot green bean casserole and amshed potatoes and yams and the pies were a challenge. But lo and behold I lost about 2.6 pounds bringing me down to 178.6.

Meanwhile I wrote Santa a letter asking for a smaller size of pants.

I also had everyone over at my house. I didn't overeat on Thanksgiving day, but some of the leftovers got me...I didn't plan very well for the weekend, so just grabbed random things-not enough fruit or veggies. The weekend is over and I am back to tracking! My plan is to stay strong through the holiday season and not give up until the first of the year like I usually do.

Hi team, how did all of you survive the great food challenge of Thanksgiving? I had 25 for a sit down dinner here. I did very well food wise, did not go over my calorie allotment. I sampled everything, just in small amounts. I learned that you can enjoy without overeating.
