Oh, I am so jealous. When I was kayaking on a regular basis, I generally went up the channel from Scappoose Bay or out on the Columbia if I had a partner. With Hubby so sick, I haven't been out too much. I need to just go.
Now I am going to have to get off my backside and get the kayak out. Have you been down the Clackamas? It is a lot of fun. It has been almost 20 years since I kayaked down it. Did raft it about 10 years ago.
I have got to get it out at least once this year. I miss it so much, but now that I have no one to kayak with, hubby goes all paranoid on me. He doesn't trust me by myself in the river. Really, I would not go in the river without a partner.
Wish I did not live so far and my health was more stable. I had two friends who paddled. It sounds like so much fun. Can you tell us how much it costs and how long the practice sessions are? It might help encourage more people. www.pksca.net/home.php?layout=1040
If you live within Driving distance of the Waterfront in Portland or to take a bus we would be ahppy to ahve you recruit to apddle on my team as we are low on paddlers. they have moved on to other things. It's a great all over body workout.
I travel to OPortland from Oregon City to paddle twice a week and then there are the races. It's so exciting at the races in Saloem, San Francisco, Olympia, Kent and Tacoma.
