Best of luck on your health and wellness journey. My rule is to log on everyday no matter what and spend at least 15 minutes minimum sparking. It keeps everything in the front of the mind and really helps me reach for the healthier food.

Have to agree with you all! Sticking with SP is the only way I seem to be able to focus on healthy eating, tracking what I stuff in my mouth, etc. Fantastic place and fantastic people!

Yes Gals I can't figure some people getting to where they want to be weight wise, and then quiting sparks.
The only thing that happens then is that you start going Up again.
It doesn't pay to quit. Hugs Rosalyn

When I get to Goal I WILL NEVER QUIT SPARKS.

Hi everyone,
I've been a sparky off and on for 3 years now. I did fantastic the first year. The next year I started out with the best intentions, only to keep slipping back into my old habits. I didn't gain a whole lot of weight back, but became unhealthy as a result. This year I have felt awful.
I went in for my annual check up a few weeks ago and the news was not good. I now have full blown type 2 Diabetes. I'm on meds that make me feel terrible. It was quite a wake-up call for me. I realize now(really for the first time) how serious I need to be about eating healthy and exercising. We've all heard we need to do it, but I think until you're told something is wrong with you and if you don't change your ways, you won't be around to enjoy life, you just take your health for granted. I'm committed to taking care of myself now, and for the rest of my life. It's a shame it took me so long to get real about my life. My message to all of you is to PLEASE stay with Sparkpeople for all of the guidance and support it has to offer. I don't wish this to happen to anyone else if it can be helped. emoticon
