Eventer - I don't live in your area, but II wanted to take the opportunity to thank you for the information. I followed the link in your message and took a look at the Rookie Running Program and joined the group!

The things that matter most in our lives are not fantastic or grand. They are the moments when we touch one another. (Jack Kornfield)

I'm all for a slow jog but I am far away in Coos Bay. Good luck finding a jogging buddy.

This is a complete long shot, but I thought I'd put it out there.
I'm in Week 2 of SP's 5K Your Way Rookie Running Program. www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/training
rogram.asp?p=6 I live in SW Portland, and have started running on Fanno Creek Trail starting at Denney Rd. I usually do 1.5-2.5 miles, although the actual run/walk program only lasts for 25 minutes which for me is about 1.5 miles. The rest is cooldown walking.
Is anyone else doing the program and want to join me? I jog so slowly that fast walkers could keep up with me (probably around a 16 min mile). I go MWF.
