Welcome Helen.
I was amazed too at the foods I thought where good for me. And just how really bad some of the other foods I like to eat where. My BK breakfast I liked was about 63 grams of fat. No wonder I felt so bad all the time.

Sounds like you are on the right track, you are soooo right you really have to look out for those other baddies in the diet.

Welcome nice to have you here. If you want to get involved with a great group of people, jump on board the thread called Oregonians for Health Group...it's easy to find just go to the team page and select the thread with the most post on it. We talk about everything and there are folks on there from all over Oregon.
It crazy when you see what is really in the foods we eat and how some is not so good. No wonder why I felt horrible all of the time. You will be able to make the changes needed to become a heathier you right here with all the tools.

Hello Everyone,

I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Helen and I live in the Beaverton/Tanasborne Area. I am married with two beautiful children (Emily & JP) and my husband and I are both doing spark together! YA!!! I have been so excited about spark and have been learning a lot from the different boards and resource center! I can't believe all of the sodium and fat in food - WOW!!! You get told "watch your calorie intake" well... unfortunatly that isn't the only thing you have to watch. With so many items that are "low" in calories but, extremely high in either fat, sodium or some other item that we really don't need to be absorbing in our bodies, it is just an eye opener to be able to see this all listed for you on spark! I best go get the little ones in bed. Hugs to you all!!! Helen
