Thanks for the welcome! So, I really have to keep a journal...hmmm...of calories as well? That's pretty time consuming. My guess is that I'm not eating enough and holding onto my fat like a hibernating bear! Is exercise better in the morning? It seems like I only think about it before bed~~~ Thanks for the tips! Susan
My advice is to buy the Spark book. It will help you set a foundation to build your nutrition and fitness program. Have measurable goals that are reasonable and attainable. I would also suggest take time to read the various articles located here in SparkPeople. There is a wealth of information. Good luck with your journey in Gold Beach!! We try to get to the Coast as often as possible not matter what the weather. If it get to bad we can always leave and come home.

welcome; care giving is a stressful job.i was a care giver for over 20 years. now is a time to take care of your self.take baby steps. and make goals for yourself. remember to track everything you put in your mouth.drink your water; and exercise is the only way. it helps to releave stress. and you feel better after words
Hello fellow Oregonians! I am new to Spark and still feel new to Oregon although I moved here in 2005. Work has taken it's toll on me. As a stressed out caregiver, I have been neglecting myself these last few years. I am ashamed to go visit my family who I haven't seen in 4 1/2 years. I was always a skinny girl growing up and would love to get back into my smaller clothes. Any advice and suggestions would be welcome. Thank you very much! Susan
