Nice hills to walk near home, Cooper Mountain. Some good small parks within a 5 mile radius.

Hello all I live in Beaverton near the Tualatin Valley Nature park it a beautiful place to take a walk. But on the other hand you need a map easy to get lost. I went for 30 min to 1 hour walk there and did get lost. If anyone like to buddy up for exercise be great.

(http://www.localhikes.com/Default.asp) that site allows you to search by area. REALLY GREAT SITE! I found so many near me that I didn't even know about!

There is also a trail that goes all the way around Mt. hood except for a couple washouts. With all these grand ideas. Have you been out? pictures to share? Living vicariously through others photos is fun!

For Portlanders, there are lots of places to hike. If you don't want to go down the gorge, you can always take the trails in Washington park. They go on for miles and miles and miles. I like the Leif Erikson trail.

I also like hiking around Mt. Hood. Ramona Falls is a great modest hike.

I also like Eagle Creek in the gorge and Multnomah Falls. There are lots of tourists, but it is pretty spectacular. For more of a wilderness feel, though, I tend towards finding hikes that go into the woods. There are many trails w/in 40 miles of Portland.

There are several nice hiking area above the Heceta Head Lighthouse, south of Yachats, OR, 10 miles, that can go for miles. I enjoy the coast and the fresh air.

I live in the Portland Metro area. I love to hike but I don't get out as much as I would like. I was wondering if you have some favorite hiking trails with some fabulous views. :]
