Ok, I went for a walk today with a friend & my dog. He needed the excersize as much as I did. It was a nice walk, not sure how far we went though. We took a new route this time.

I did an excersize video today, Denise Austin Swingin to the Big Bands. Kinda fun, but I need dance lessons! haha Also it was made in 92, so it was funny to see hairstyles & clothing from then.

Hi! I did my pilates on Mon, but nothing since then. I was going to workout today, but got sidetracked cleaning the house. Tomorrow am is still open though. My goal is for 4 days/week cardio.

I did my Denise Austin pliates dvd today, & ab work is included. I now know what you are talking about with the plank. OMG!!! I am so out of shape. But it was easier to do the video today than last week. We will see how my muscles feel tomorrow.

I had to work to whole day yest, but after jumping a few hoops, I made it to the gym, and burned another 375 calories!!! The only bad thing is I borrowed a pair of my mom's pants, that were mine about 8 yrs ago, and while the size tag was ok, they must of shrunk, I just could not get them zipped!! What a downer, work your tushie off, and then not be able to get your pants on!! emoticon
Oh well, I will just have tho think of it as they've had 8 yrs of washing to shrink, so I will make them a new goal to be able to zip those pants!!!

Yay because I finally get off at 1pm I get to go to the gym after work and still pick up the kids from school. Made 20 minutes into level 6 and burned 320 calories!

And no yawning from 5 am workouts

Good Morning, Everyone!! I skipped the gym today - too sore from six hours of horsercise yesterday to move. I will be back at the gym tomorrow, though!! Stef - Congratulations on your walk!! That's really neat, and to do it with a stroller too!! emoticon

Cindy! That's so cool about your son getting to play at Autzen! He will remember that for the rest of his life! My son is in football as well this year, but they arent doing so great, and wont make the playoffs. Since he is a "floater" and plays on both JV and Varsity this year, I am almost not sorry that he wont go to playoffs. Two nights a week in the stands is good, and thankfully, almost done. Then Rugby starts soon after, and we get to do it all over again. yay! LOVE to watch the kids' games though!!

Hi guys, no crunchies this weekend, but got unintended workout Sat, cause son played at Autzen, long steep hill to get to seats!! and 800 calories at the gym on Sunday.

Stephanie--- I really like taebo, try the basic or 8 min one at first. Gives a great workout, you feel every muscle the next day!!!

HELLO!
Today I did the 4K walk for Habitat For Humanity!! It was fun! I got there a bit late, so I was the last person registered. & Then the walk started. I finished in 35 min. The last people walked for 1h5min. I am glad I did it. The hill was a bit scary, but I tackled it & it wasn't really that bad!! I did not know anyone there, but I did not care. I even thought about walking back (they provided transportation back to our cars), but then thought better of it. I don't want to overdo it!!!
Yesterday I did the Denise Austin Palates DVD. Oh, boy that was hard. But I am glad that I did it. I am looking for another workout video. Anyone have any favorites? (for a beginner??)

I am back! But I have no excuses for my lack of excersize. Well ok, I have been sick & spent somedays just trying to cope with kids & trying to breathe. I have noticed that my pants are getting really tight in the waist, I REALLY need to get that under control

Got in an hour and a half of horsercise yesterday, with the crunches while downloading work. Today's a crazy day, but I am going to try to get the crunches in while downloading. Then off to the first of our son's two football games this week. GO TIGERS!!! emoticon

Well, off to a good start. Hauled my butt out of bed this morning at 3:45 and went to the gym. Everybody is taking a hiatus there too! it was totally empty!! Did 35 on the elliptical and got in 150 crunches and then did free weights for another 15 minutes. emoticon
I AM going to do this!!!

I won't be doing daily crunches anymore. I am going to try Denise Austins fat zone work out. Focus on your fat zone 4 days a week and the other 2 fat zones once a week. I need to try something new, because I have hit a major plataeu (sp). I have been stuck for awhile. We'll see how it goes.

YUP! I have hit my slump, and am raring to get back into it!! I would really like to see the scale move in the next couple of weeks!! We have a big Christmas party coming up on the 9th of december, and I want to have about 10 pounds gone, MINIMUM!! emoticon

I did it...went to the gym and did 50. The personal trainer that works there was walking around doing nothing, so I made sure that I did them perfect because I did not want to hear it from him if they were done incorrectly. Don't bug me when I am trying to workout...OK.

Oyyyy back at it today...did my 60 minute walk, then my crunches and heavy cleaning in the kitchen. Finger prints on the cabinets were a bear to get off I tell ya!!!

I haven't done any exercise all weekend. Unless you count going from my sewing machine to the ironing board. Monday I am back on track.

Well I got my crunches done, 50 of them. UGH!! They hurt today! I did some light leg & pelvic work also. I have been pondering push-ups, I need to find more excersizes that I can just do, without any 'set-up' time. Thats why I like crunches, I did them today while watching a video with my kids. (veggietales-my DD is really getting into them)

Hello everyone. I have been slacking in the crunches department but hopefully I will be back on track today. I have not done any exercising for the last 3 days but today I am hitting the gym. I have a certain amount of exercise time that I need to get in each week, but things come up and I find myself not making it. Then I beat myself up for it...I will try to ease up of myself.

HELLO!!
Well I have not been out walking since last Friday. I have had sick kids & been babysitting alot. (I watched kids on Sun, Mon, & Tues. Tues night was when my DD got sick, vomiting & such. Yesterday was the 1st day she was well enough to go outside, so we went for our walk, 2 3/4 miles. It was rough after not walking for a week, but we did it. I did however pull some muscle in my leg, we had made it 3/4 of the way when I felt it. Its just above my right heel, hurts more today.
Yesterday I also did 30 crunches, & some leg stretches.
Today will be just crunches & some more stretching. Gotta work these kinks out.

I changed my workout today. No Denise, instead I did Windsor Pilates fat burning workout. Which is arobics with some pilates worked in. I didn't do any crunches because after doing that workout I don't think my body can handle anymore. While looking for this dvd I found a pilates ab sculpting that I am going to try tomorrow.

Seems a lot of us are taking an unintentional hiatus from crunching. This (and last) has been one of those weeks where I wonder exactly WHY I am paying for a membership for the gym. I am not even having the time or motivation to crunch at home. I am trying, though, to get in extra exertion up at the barn, and walking the hill both up and back from the pasture to the arena instead of riding Nic up for the extra calorie burn. I have a training session with him tonight which should burn a bunch of calories, and I will try to find time to crunch the rest of the week.

I really gotta get on the ball with the crunches! Ive been bad about that. I get my Cardio, my 65 min walk and then my Firm Body Sculpt but that misses out on the abs...(Which is where I need it most!! ) Way to go to all of you keepin on track!! Thats it gonna slam in 50 bfor bed!! :)

Hello
No I have not done my ab work in awhile. BUT I am walking or riding my bike daily.
Yesterday I rode my bike with DD in tow, for 2.44 miles. Today I walked with DD in stroller for 2.75 miles. On Monday I would like to try for 3 miles. (taking the weekend off, might to a short walk with family tomorrow night)

Yeahhhh B, welcome to the challenge. When I started this, I didn't have any muscles in the abs. I still hate working that area, but I am getting stronger.

All right. I will join this challenge. Abs are my LEAST favorite to work on, but the area in which I need the most toning. So, Ok. 50 a day you say? Ok here we go!

I did my 50 regular crunches and 50 of the side ones for your obliques. I think I did the obliques wrong, so tomorrow I will really have to watch it. Also did some abs with Denise this morning.

Good morning everyone!!
Hey Kathleen - I have been learning the Parelli method of natural horsemanship, and I play the seven games with Nic on the ground and then transfer them to in the saddle, or lately, bareback. I had pretty much given up on ever having a relationship with this horse until I started learning Parelli, and now he is so much fun. It just really clicked with him. I trail ride mostly, when we are not doing arena work, and I am working with a wonderful trainer to help get us past the "bugs" that he is having. So, I am doing about as much running up and down the arena and around in cirlces as he is. quite a workout!! but I love it!!

Hello, I just finished with my crunches. How is everyone else doing today?
3 1/2 hours of horsercise, that sounds like a great workout to me. What kind of activities do you do with your horse?

Hey Everybody! Well, I didnt make it to the actual gym today, but I did 3-1/2 hours of "horsercise" tonight. I feel like I have been thoroughly beat up! I am working with a trainer now to work through some issues that Nic is having, and WOW!! I think I have worked every muscle in my body! Natural horsemanship for the horse sure means a lot more work for me, but its so worth it!! Chat with ya all tomorrow!! Have a great evening! emoticon

I did my 50 today at the gym. I tried the side ones yesterday, what are called obliques. But I can really feel it today...that's good I can finally get rid of those "love handles"

Good Morning!
Well I have not been excersizing much, but I have been walking. I timed myself & am walking about an 18min/mile, pushing a stroller. Yesterday we walked 2 miles, today was 2.44 miles. I am 'training' for a 5K that is coming up next month for Habitat for Humanity. You know, there are actaully quite a few of these charity walks in our area. I need to do some research & find out more about them.

I am getting back into my into it again. I didn't do any crunches yesterday, but Denise Austin did an ab workout and I figured that was good enough. My goal today is to do my 50 and at least a 30 second plank.

Yes, I got my 50 in today at the gym. I glad I went I feel like that is one thing I do in my day that actually makes a difference.

Well, I sucked it up and did my crunches and the rest of my strength training while getting caught up on the shows I missed while we were gone last week. Made it to the gym this morning, and got in 50 minutes on the elliptical. It was so wierd! there was NOBODY else in the gym, and it is usually surprisingly busy at 4 a.m. when we go. Feels good to be getting back on track again. Maybe start those pounds moving again!! Have a wonderful day, everyone! and Happy Crunching!!

Hey Everybody!! Boy, gone for a few days, and WOW! its going to take me awhile to get caught up on this thread and the others. I havent been to the gym lately - we spent a couple of days at the beach, and we were really pretty active out there. the weather was FABULOUS!!! warm and sunny all four days we were there!! But, back to real life now, and I am back to the gym today. Hubby is gone for the week on another business trip - hopefully, his last for the year, and maybe this time, I can some stuff done that I have a hard time doing with him here.
Hope everybody is having a fabulous Monday, and I will check back in tomorrow.

Hello!
Well I have not been good at this excersize stuff. Yesterday I did get off my butt & walked for 2 miles, I did it in just over 30 min. Just me & my DD in her stroller. Its hard for me to go out by myself, I always want someone with me, but I am glad that I got it done.
Today I raked my front lawn for some arm work, will do my strength excersizes too & abs!

You guys are doing so good. Vegas, I am very jealous. This has been a bad week for me. Only worked out once so far, and almost no crunches. I don't even want to talk food. But today is a new day. Time to get back on track

Hey all, Happy Hump day! I did a 80 minute walk (nice weather, have to enjoy it!) then did the Firm Ab Sculpt!! Yep....tummies feelin it too!!

I went to the gym and got in 50. I am going to try and do the crunches everyday for the rest of the week. That's my little goal for myself this week. I am going to Las Vegas in 1 month and I want stong stomach mucles before I go.
