Gosh, I wish your red dress would fit me without any alterations!!! I'd LOVE to have a dress like that... (Maybe someday).

Yes, I did a low carb thing a long time ago and ate a lot of cheese and guess I'm none the worse for wear because of it - like you, I figured it was a better choice than cookies or ?? !

I think anytime that we can get our nutrients from whole foods rather than from a pill, it was a better choice. I've heard many times the eating foods and/or drinking milk was so much better for us than the supplements.

I'm interested now in whatever findings you gals might come up with as far as the calcium goes..

Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas!! emoticon

I have read about the calcium in Prevention and other magazines. Maybe it was based on a book. I don't think so. I agree Google it. I think, from what I have read, that calcium pills help some but milk was better than the supplements. I lost 60 lbs about 4 years ago eating cheddar cheese. I figure it was better than what I was eating before that.

Good luck starting with whatever you can do.

Travisty, You know I've heard of calcium supposing to help one lose the fat around the middle. Sounds to me like yours is a lot of muscle stuff, or lack of it for carrying that much babies for so long (Gosh, made me hurt to even think about it) I'm interested to find out what other spark people have to say about this. I don't get enough calcium myself.. I'm not a milk drinker and don't like cottage cheese. I could live on good sharp cheddar cheese, but due to fat content I try to limit that.
I'll keep watching for more information - and/or maybe you could google it and find some info as well, (besides someone trying to sell a book). Good luck.

I would like to know more about this, I have been eating milk products such as cottage cheese yogurt milk cheese and adding nuts bread fruit and meat and tea w/hazelnut creamer I am at this time just playing around to see what works for me.. I have had no urge to snack on junk foods big plus!! for me..I read this article in the first magazine for women it was the article called better than a pill. then I got a book called calorie fat and carbohydrate counter which also covers Calcium a little..I am grossly over weight at 4'11" I weigh about 240lbs.. and I am 61 years old.. I have a super fat belly as I carried twins when I was 30 years old I carried them a month over my time when they finally decided to remove the babies they were both full size babies big 7lbs11ozs 8lbs8ozs they cut all the muscles in my belly so now I have a lot in front of me and it causes a lot of pain when I walk or stand for any amount of time.. I have good reasons to want to lose the weight at this time in my life.. I would like to know if any one else out there has tried this. travisty
