Well, Dee, I was looking yesterday too, and there was confusing information that made it seem to be Smith Rocks...so I looked at another site and found this.

Thanks, Kathy. Don't know how I missed it when I did my search.

I looked up Oregon's Cathedral Rock and here is the information:
Cathedral Rock Details
Cathedral Rock is a mountain pillar in Grant County in the state of Oregon (OR). Cathedral Rock climbs to 2,133 feet (650.14 meters) above sea level. Cathedral Rock is located at latitude - longitude coordinates (also called lat - long coordinates or GPS coordinates) of N 44.630976 and W -119.645545.
Anyone attempting to climb Cathedral Rock and reach the summit should look for detailed information on the Cathedral Rock area in the topographic map (topo map) and the Mount Misery USGS quad. To hike and explore the Oregon outdoors near Cathedral Rock, check the list of nearby trails. Read Condition Reports | Add Condition Report View Locator Map and Local Weather

Kathy, I think you are right. So it isn't Smith... it's Eastern OR. I've been to Smith a time or two, before the fire, and the rocks are beautiful. But there are lots of rocky places throughout the central and eastern areas. And probably elsewhere as well.
Yoo hoo, Team! Anybody know where Oregon's Cathedral Rock is?

If that's from Smith Rocks...I believe it is in Central Oregon just outside of Redmond and Terrebonne.

Water is very important for us. We may, and I do, require more than the 8 glasses a day. The link goes to a water calculator I use to see what I need for my current weight. Mt requirement has dropped 9 ounces due to weight loss. Yipee! fitnessgear101.com/fitness-calculato rs/water-requirement-caculators.aspx

Our new picture is Cathedral Rock in Eastern Oregon. Apparently, there are rocks similarly named in several other states. I think this one is part of Smith Rock state park, but not sure. There wasn't much info on it except that it is in eastern Oregon.

This is the Pudding River. We used to swim in it when we were young.
Pudding River Facts The Pudding River is a tributary of the Molalla River in the U.S. state of Oregon. Its headwaters are near Sweet Spring Mountain in the Cascade Range. After emerging from the Cascades, it becomes a slow meandering stream, passing through a region of fertile agricultural lands in the lower Willamette Valley, past the towns of Scotts Mills and Aurora.
Isn't it peaceful? I love it! Hope you do, too.

Great picture Dee! And thanks for doing the work to get permission to use these great pics! I'm sure folks from across Oregon will appreciate seeing "their" part of the state!

Paul and Marilyn Peck of StrengthInPerspective.com have kindly given us permission to use their beautiful photographs. Their studio is in Sherwood, OR and they show a wide variety of scenic NW photos.
This one is the historic McKee covered bridge over the Applegate River located in Southern Oregon just a few miles from the California border in Jackson County. Built in 1917, it was used in mining and logging until 1956 when it was declared unsafe for vehicular travel. In 1965, work was done and the roof was repaired so that it could be used for pedestrians.
