emoticon My goal is to walk 5 miles a day. I haven't been walking outside for about 4 years. I have been walking around the house or walking to my Leslie Sansone walking dvd's. Having a hard time with my daily goals this past week with the temp. so hot and no AC in our house.

Walk normal for about 3 minutes, go to a brisk walk almost a jog for about 2 minutes, then slow back down. That will jack up your calorie burn big time.

A couple of my friends and I walk M-F year round, rain or shine. Well....there are some days that it is far to cold in the winter so we will skip. The last couple of weeks we have been walking 4.33 miles (for me) and I usually will make it from my front door and back in 80-90 minutes. Hope to improve my time. We walk from one end of town, stretch for about 5-10 minutes and them head back to our homes.

Since I got my tracker less than a week ago I earned a 25 mile award and 5 glow getter awards. Today I did 10,000+ steps. Walking is a lot more fun with a tracker.

Walking is my main form of exercise, along with strength training and learning to dance. I'm hoping to work up to at least 120 minutes of exercise every day. Yesterday I walked 105 minutes (4 different trips). Also looking forward to gardening weather.

Mickey, our 4-legged buddy, and I walk 30 minutes every day (unless of course it's really nasty outside:). Plus I "dance" (yep, I'm a rotten dancer) to whatever music is playing on the radio for about an hour. My goal is 10,000 steps per day and it's really easy to get there most days. Not lately, though, since I fell on my right knee and it's still pretty mad about it. BUT it's getting better and I'll be back on track soon.

Goal for each day is to do 5500 or more steps, walk 125 miles in month of November.
Weather permitting I walk dog but mostly use my treadmill.

so i totally failed my other goal of walking 15 mins with the dog each morning and then 25 mins at my lunch break. i was given a used treadmill and have been trying to walk at least 30 mins 3 times a week on it. so far i have been good for that 2 weeks now. i will increase it soon.

I took the dogs out for a potty break before I left for work (15 mins walk) then at lunch walked until I was tired (25 mins walk around work complex).

My walking goal was on days I don't work to walk the dog and then once a week bike to work. so far Ive kept on the biking but not so much the walking. The dog misses walking and smelling the neighborhood. Two weeks ago I took him for a short walk. It was a nice sunny but cold (not too windy) day. But then I ended up having to work all last week. I am hoping to start walking once a week and up it to more later as well as biking.

He never got over his Dog not being here .
We got him a kitten and new dog because he looked like he was going to die of loneliness.
Got a pheromone plug in to make him a happier cay. Still not using the cat box, Pissing in the water bowel, not willing to sleep with us. just not a happy cat he wants to go out side in Yamhill so we will fill his CD food (food only available at the vet)

My goal is to walk 100 miles a month and 1,000 miles in a calendar year. This should net me 2,075 minutes and 20,750 minutes of exercise respectively. I have done pretty well, logging in 62 miles already this January and this includes 2 days of being strapped to the house with a terrible cold. At this rate, I could surpass 110 miles the first month in.

I was doing really well for a while last summer walking and going to the gym. I lost 20 lbs. I have recently gained it all back. My biggest issue is motivation. I've realized I really don't enjoy going to the gym and don't really enjoy walking alone. I would like to find a walking buddy.....If there is anyone in SE Portland area that would want to meet up a few times a week to walk I think it would be mutually beneficial. Have not been here for a while. My son, Greg was with us - until the end of December - he had terminal cancer - so most of my time was with him - watching MASH and knitting.

But, now that he is no longer with us, I have started walking more. Just need to get back to the club - just going in every day - for even 10 or 15 minutes on the treadmill - really inspired me to walk more.

I take the dog also, she needs the walk just as much as I do.

The best thing for the inside of a woman is the outside of a horse. SADDLE UP AND RIDE!!!

get the dog to get on the leash for me. We can go from there. Park is 5 blocks away good start.
Get wood to the splitter and stacked.

I just started training for the Bridge to Brews in Portland for April 6. It's a 8K so my goal right now is to continue walking 3x a week progressively doing more until I can do 8K. Right now I'm following the Sparks 5K program and then will build off of that once it's done. :)

My goal is three miles a day, that takes about an hour or less depending on how fast I walk.
