I gave up making resolutions years ago. Now I make goals, usually mini ones that are feasible, and when one is accomplished, I make another.

I usually don't make them, but this year I decided to eat only when I was hungry. I have kept this one longer than any other I have ever made!

My New Years resolution is to take the new year one step at a time. To keep going forward and to not turn back to my old ways.
This past year was full of wow I finally took care of that item in my life now on to the next. As I look back there were times of hardship I had to endure but on a whole it was a year of reaching goals. I keep saying to my self slow and steady wins the race. This year I need to set that goal for my weight loss and be happy when I lose 1 pound and be happy as that is one step closer to my goal. Let's all just take that one step at a time this next year. Like the email they sent us on Abe Lincoln that is what he did and we can do the same.

My goal for 2009 is the same as for 2008 - continue the journey to become healthier. SparkPeople has been a great tool towards that goal!

Water is very important for us. We may, and I do, require more than the 8 glasses a day. The link goes to a water calculator I use to see what I need for my current weight. Mt requirement has dropped 9 ounces due to weight loss. Yipee!

Try to live a healthier life, remain a favorable example to my kids while enjoying every minute to the fullest. If I get anymore specific than that, the past has shown an ability to shrink from success one resolution at a time.

I prefer to re-cap the year and think of all of my accomplishments, the places of been and the people I have met. I reflect and then promise myself to take lessons from the previous year into the next one.

How many people make one? Usually I don't but this year I am. I plan on going to the local pool and walk laps for one hour three times a week.
