Hi, Natalie the captain from LO achievers (MTC4Natalie). i heard of this site when christel my former purser had billing problems and left ediets then of coures i forgot about it! but now i'm back

susan...thanks for giving me a way here. you're an angel!

liisa...love this idea. dh has been complaining about the ediets membership so not sure how much longer he'll go for it since i'm currently doing the gym which isnt really in the budget either. if i have to choose the gym or ediets then ediets will bite the dust! LOL

i think this site in a way is much better than ediets. love the points. i might have to get dh going on this site but then again he would be hogging my computer time :)

glad to see so many familiar faces...its like coming home!

Hi All. I found this place by accident a couple of days ago. Then an LO person emailed and said I should check out this site. I laughed and said I signed up yesterday.

I'll be checking in from time to time to keep up with you all. I'm swamped right now with back to school junk and not doing too well in the healthy dept. But I'll get my mojo back. I'm sick of being fat. Just having a bad week.

Hi all-

Liisa- I love your new page. You mentioned that you were eating healthier in Boston. I'm from the Boston area originally, and I find that people are healthier and eat better there. Don't know why. I do know the beer, brats, cheese and ice cream is what got me in trouble in Wisconsin.

How's everyone else doing this week?

We survived dinner with the in-laws. MIL is a big food-pusher. DH even stopped eating when he was full. MIL asked if he was sick. HeHe.

Hi all.

I'm at the coffee shop. I need to work on part of a research paper. My boss gets back tomorrow and I need to have made some progress on it. He's been gone for 2 weeks.

I'm off to check out the meal planning that Liisa said was very easy to use. I need to start keeping better track of my calories. In couple hours, I'll head home to work out with GUNNAR (via video-he's so hot!). Then it's off to the in-law's house for dinner.

Good Morning...

Liisa...ohhhh..I am not stressing over having to read a lot on Sparks..*S*..
I will find it fun..and I will take my time!
after all, what will be so nice about this place is that we won't be pushed into the competition mode and no shoving..
I think the support we can offer one another will be more important than anything else we can give one another...
trust, friendship and support..!

Hi all-
A new day. Yesterday got away from me pretty quickly. A good part of the day was spent celebrating the life of a wonderful professor that passed away last week. Then Mike (DH) and I hung out for a good portion of the day.

Liisa- I just joined this website earlier this week. So far I love it though. There are items on the right side of the page while you're in the message boards that link to key areas. I usually get to areas from my home page or my SparkPoints page. Are you in your new home yet?

Judy- It's been a crazy month for you, but it sounds like you're not letting it get you down. Best of luck with the move and upper body workouts.

susan - don't stress about this at all! it is just suppossed to be fun and a way to stay connected. eDiets offerred me a free membership to stay but i didn't want to. so this is my alternative. :-)

Found you. I now have to find my way around the site. Looks like a lot of fun things todo.

This coming week I will not have the chance to overeat etc. Have lots of sorting out to do and packing. I can't believe that in a week we will be moving from a home we have lived in for 37 years and move to a new home. So for the month of August I had a major car accident and broke my right foot, celebrated our 43rd anniversary by having a CAT scan on my foot done, and then we bought a new house and will be moving all in a two week period. Because of all this I am not eating much. but with a cast on my leg I can not weigh. so I am hoping for a nice surprise when I get it off. I am doing upper body exercising. This helps with using the walker etc.

Hello Ladies!

My name is Robin, and I've been doing the LO- which is why I know Liisa. I hit goal in May, but gained 10 lbs in the last couple months. Essentially, it was from not spending enough time focusing on ME and my health and letting the job stress get to me.

I went to a wedding tonight. I did GREAT at dinner. Extra fruits and veggies! I did have a few sweets, but I'm sure I danced off the calories and then some on the dance floor.

The pic looks like my male siamese cat playing solitaire. I couldn't resist. Pics of me are on my SparkPage.

Maiya- Mindful and SLOW eating can be tough for those of us ON-THE-GO. I'm trying to do more of it too.

Liisa- So glad you came here. I think it's a great place to help focus on being healthy. I like this website better than eDiets too. Much more user-friendly.

Thanks! It was taken last winter. When it's full size you can see my nose ring- back when I was still wearing the actual hoop. Rob has made me promise never to wear it again around him. :P So, now I've got a little stud. :)

There's a lot here. It's sorta overwhelming at first. It'll take awhile to discover everything that is offered. It does seem better than ediets though. It's more process oriented rather than geared toward popularizing commercial diets.

our table is covered in stuff. i think we used it once and i have been here over a year. sad, isn't it?

i have to say - i am way way way impressed with this website. way better than ediets and it is free.

i love those mini goals at the front. is there a way we can look at each others mini goals?

I saw that they had not eating in front of the TV as a goal. That would be good one for me. I don't remember the last meal I ate at home that wasn't in front of the TV. I don't even know why we have a table. LOL.

hi maia! so glad you joined. i have been searching the website a bit and it is really cool. what i love is the meal planning/menu. you can click the box if you ate it - and if not add your own food. makes it really easy. plus you can customize the goals and enter when you workout/etc. i made a custom goal to take a flaxseed oil pill and my meds daily too.
