I have called and they are setting me up again to finish all my appointments. I will be more excited this time just because I am not backing out. I will be healthy, I will not quit nor give up. Thanks for the encouraging words. I will keep you posted!
I think you are brave, and smart! I had to cancel my lap band back in 2008, but for different reasons than you. It took me 5 years to get the guts up to not only go back in to just SEE about surgery, but, to get on the horse and go after a RNY! But, once I did, I never looked back. Had the surgery April 2, and am down from 345 that day, to 257 now. Highest weight was (I think) 410. I can't be sure, as my scale supposedly would only weigh up to 375, and quit reading at 405. So, guesstimating. Just keep on going for it! Don't let your fears overtake the goodness that you know will come from getting the surgery done!

I had been scheduled for bariatric sleeve surgery last may, I had my last meeting with the surgeon, who scared the livin' diddlees out of me. I stopped everything right there! I spoke to no one... Now after six months I realize that my fears were totally blown out of proportion. I have contacted my doctor, and am rescheduling all that I need to to have surgery this winter or spring. Now I am excited.I feel hopeful that my life will be improved by weight loss.. I need to continue to surround myself with encouraging and supportive people and habits.
