I love the new PP program and have lost 8.2 in 3 weeks. Not that I'll continue to lose at that rate but it is a good start. I really like the fruits being free and it is keeping me from being hungry. I am also trying some new veggies like butternut squash! It's one of my new favorites!

Thanks for the info! I've been anxious to get in to a meeting to get the new program but haven't been able to with weather and sickness this January. Anxious to see what points went up and how many extra you get now a week.

Dear Bag Lady, Starchy vegetables are not zero PointsPlus foods. That includes potatoes, peas and corn. Raisins, prunes, dates and dried fruits are not PointsPlus foods. Fruit packed in juice is zero PointsPlus if drained; if you consume the juice, count the points. Most plain fruits and veggies are zero PointsPlus.

I really like the PointsPlus program. I've lost with less hunger than any other program. I'm now at BMI 20.4, having just lost 6 pounds in 8 weeks on PointsPlus. I can only lose 1.4 pounds more and be in the healthy weight range per WW.

I strongly suggest you go to a meeting, buy a new calculator and get the program materials. Even if you just went once, I think you'd find it well worth it. I like the support of a weekly meeting, though, and now that I'm at goal it's free!

Hi, I have tried WW 3 times in the past. The first time I lost about 20 pounds, & each time after that I lost less & less. It has been about 10 years since the last time I tried WW. Someone just recently told me that fruits & vegetables are 0 points. If that is correct, does that means we can eat as much as we want of them? Are there a few fruits or vegetables that are not 0 points? Please reply back as I love eating fruit & think I could follow the program easier this time if I could eat more fruit. Also, the last time I joined I have trouble recording everything (but the other 2 times was not a problelm.) Do you still have to record the foods you eat?

Thanks very much.

Carol

Power Foods are the foods that WW says should be the foundation of your food plan. They should keep one satisfied for the least amount of Points. "More bang for your buck," I guess.

They also tend to be natural, whole, unprocessed foods.

That's just my own personal synopsis. :)

Mickie

John 15:4-5 - Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. I am the vine, you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.

interesting.....i am trying the new ww program...i am enjoying filling hunger with a piece of fruit...annie the basset hound shared a pear with me for her first time, and liked it (she is a fruit-eating dog; mango is her favorite...and she needs to go on a diet worse than i do)
