I just searched for it in multiple ways and I can't find it. Can you invite me to it somehow, or post the link for it on here? Thanks.

Hi, I'm an active WW participant. If you have eTools for WW, you are more than welcome to add me as a friend on there. My ID is severina418, as well. Or we can talk here! I, too, noticed that this isn't active.

Hello! I am new to this team and it looks like there hasn't been much activity on here for quite awhile. Does anyone still use this? I would love to meet some other people using (and succeeding on) Weight Watchers. Wondering if it might be better to start a new WW team???

Hi, does anyone know if we can freeze the single serving containers of yogurt and it be like frozen yogurt? Or is frozen yogurt actually made differently?

Hi everyone, I'm SHER and I just started Weight Watchers Points Plus Plan of 27 Points Per Day. I was horrified with the prices they want for online W.W. So, I turned SparkPeople into Weight Watchers Points. I Changed Calories for Points, changed all my food favorites, etc into points. It took a long time, but it can be done. So, instead of you seeing calories on my foods you will see Points. And, when I reach 27 Points, I'm done for the day. I do not use the extra 49 or what ever it is. I use only the 27 Points. I also went in and changed the Fruits & Vegs to 0 Points.

Question: Is anyone doing the "safe foods" and not counting? So far, counting has worked wonderfully for me and I have no complaints -- just wondering if the other option might work well too. What do you think? If you're doing that, how did you get your food plan ready for it? Anyone doing it and feeding their family just with those foods?

Been at lifetime weight, this time (done it twice before) and it has been 8 months. I am always really close every month when I weigh in. I am extremely careful the last week of the month. We are coming up on the next weigh in thinking it would be next week. I weigh in on Tuesdays, I look at the calendar and realize the month ends on a Tuesday. AHHHH, now I have another week to be really careful. Should be easy since as of this morning I am actually a half pound under my goal weight. Also, my husband just started the program at the beginning of the month so we are doing it together. I even go to two meetings a week even though I only have to go to one a month. February will be my 9th month at goal.
New low reached 149.2 lbs on 5/6/11. Made my weight watcher goal on Tuesday, May 3, 2011. New walk record 9/9/11, 4 miles in 58 minutes.

I am new to WW. I just joined a couple of weeks before the 2012 tweaks. I am not sure if I like it or not. I like the meetings as it helps me to remember on Tuesday and Wednesday to eat well. (weigh in is Wednesday eve). However, I find it hard to calculate points when I am in a hurry all the time. I don't have much time to work on this when I have work and all the regular life stuff to focus on. I know it will take planning but I seem to be fluctuating a lot and it is frustrating knowing I am spending hard earned money on it.

Hello! I am new to this team, but not to SP or to WW. I have currently lost 120 pounds with the old program and have signed up for WW online to try the new program. By the old program, I mean 1,2,3 success. Before the extra weekly points, etc. I am trying to lost the last 20ish pounds or so. I've been trying to for the past 10 months and can't seem to do so. I thought what do I have to lose by giving it a try? I like the idea of no points for the fruit and veggies. I eat plenty of those already.
Looking to make some new friends, too. Lots of luck and success to all!!
Today at the meeting we were told that the daily allowance is now a range, that it's not set in stone like it was (not counting the weekly points), whatever we think works for us if we hit a plateau but no less than 26. Sounds a bit fishy. Also some PP values have changed and that's pretty much it except that now they have a new calculator that goes down to 26 point although the old one can still be used -- just deduct 3 points at the beginning of the day if you are working on 26 points, for example. Apparently the formula to calculate points off nutritional labels is still the same.
What's your impression?

Hello, I was not happy to see that I only get 26 points now.... not that I always used them, but that number seemed reasonable. I do think that if you really follow the WW plan you would not think you can eat a pound of cake for 29 points and call it a day! You are supposed to be tracking the healthy items, 3 tsp. of oil, many fruits and vegetables, 3 dairy items, exercise etc. I think if you do all that you will lose. I've lost nearly 80 pounds on the points plus and really followed it pretty faithfully. I've been happy with the number 29 and even though I was often a couple under, I did often hit 29 and go over into the extra points on treats etc. I'm not one that adapts easily to change!! I have my meeting tomorrow and my leader will explain it well I'm sure.

Ha! WW is rolling out these new features and I found my points lowered to 26 with a weekly allowance of 46. It's going to take some adjusting; I had finally organized myself around 29 pt+. I have to say it makes more sense seeing how much the calories can fluctuate.
Anyone else with a couple of surprises?

So it's not my imagination :) I keep on tracking on both WW and SP and have been able to lose on 29 points. SP guides my choices in terms of fat, protein and carbs and so long as I keep that balance, the calorie count remains on the lower side. Let's face it, one could eat 29 points of pound caked and lose the weight, but it doesn't each anything in terms of nutrition. I think I liked it better before points were introduced; one had to eat so much of each food group and within the calorie range chosen then there were floaters. It wasn't eating blind. Next week, the meeting will be about new features for Point Plus; we'll see if it improves our knowledge on food.

That is a good question Brenda... I was wondering the same thing as I am fairly new to this group. I also need to be held accountable.... it seems to be the only way anything difficult like this works for me. That is one reason I joined this group hoping to find support with others doing the WW program. I also joined the SparkLive Team and have started attending live meetings.
Your observation is pretty interesting Maraude.... I did WW back in the early 80's after my first baby and found the only way I could lose weight was to eat about 4 points less a day than the maximum allotment. I am finding the same thing again this time. If I eat 29 points a day I do not lose weight. I've cut myself to 25 to see if this will work. I too have not been exercising as much which I know is not helpful to weight loss. No physical restrictions... just life, work and family demands I have let overtake my time. Time to change that though! I will be joining the 10 minutes a day SparkTeam this week to get myself back into it.
Have a good evening everyone!

Hi,
Has anyone noticed how the same amount of point plus can add up to sometimes 400 calories difference? I've been logging here and on WW. Wondering how that's going to play in the long run. I'm also not able to walk that well and must rely primarily on diet right now until cleared by doc so this is really making me wonder seeing that I calculated my total caloric needs based on the article here on SP http://www.sparkpeople.com/resource/calorie_calculation101.asp? and calorie-wise the deficit to just loose one pound a week is 500 per day which puts me under the minimum of 29 points if I want to do that. As I lose weight, the total calories I can eat in a day keep going down if I want to keep losing at the same rate of 1 lb / wk. WW and SP don't seem to see it eye-to-eye or is it just assumed one exercises all the time which is a problem seeing possible medical restrictions. Just writing out loud :)
Comments?
PS Assuming this is where this is most of the interaction occurs :)

Hello all, yet another wet day here in the UK, just because we have had a dry year, shouldn't mean we get all our rain in one week! Not much planned this week, hubby is on nightshift and I don't need to go out until Friday,so quiet jobs around the house and lots of reading to catch up on...lol
Brenda, you can just call me Sue....lol

Good morning, everyone.... I'm new here so I'm still feeling my way around. Today, I'm going to step before I go to work....gotta "STEP" it up a bit and not be easy on myself. I just landed on this truth this weekend---I've been too easy on me....If I don't get a little more serious about what I truly want to do with my LIFE, my HEALTH, and my FITNESS, I won't reach my goals....:) I'll post back later in the day and let you know how I did! Have a fabulous day, everyone! Brenda

Morning We put our clocks back the week before and I am just about getting my body regulated...lol
Yes we get some rain, although this year has been quite a dry one, getting some now though. This time last year we had 3' of snow and it just stayed and more came for about 3 months, worst winter for a long time, hope we don't get that this year. I hate not being able to get out.
Last week, I was low on my WW points as I was ill (getting better but not there yet) and I didn't eat much. This is a huge change for me as I used to eat my way better and gain loads. This time I stayed the same so I am happy with that. Having lots of water and soup at the moment
Be back later, DH is on nights this week so want to get some quiet jobs done while he is in bed and then can get back here tonight Have a great day hugs sue

Oh Sue, your across the ocean, I just noticed, you get rain alot don't you? We are to have rain tonight and rain and snow tomorrow night and snow the next night, not ready for the white stuff yet, but then it beats tornadoes.
We went back on daylight savings time last night and it messes me up for a month before I adjust, I liked it when it stayed light longer now it will be dark by 5pm and its harder to drive in the winter time here you have to be so careful due to you dont' want to slide into anyone.
Hey have a nice weekend, whats left of it!

Morning all, starting to feel better, but still very tired.
Over here in the UK we have rain and then more rain, but the temps feel warm, about 55 so a change from this time last year when we were under 2' of snow!!
Oh yes must have a Christmas tree...lol....although now there is only Dh and me we just have a small tree on the sideboard and a few bits and pieces around. When teh kids come round they are happy with that, they all have Christmas dinner at the girls mothers so that our grandaughter has cousins to play with and other dil her mum had a stroke so they are with her. They come here to open pressies first and then we spend time together on Boxing Day and on New Year. This is the first year for 4 years that DH has not been on shift at work so will be nice to have him here all day.

Good Morning! I am new to the team here, but not new to spark, I have issues with weight due to alot of medications, and so you lose a little you gain a little , its really rather difficult but I fight with the docs about changing pills and they all say why rock the boat.
I am from Sioux Falls and I just moved here, I use to live in a little town in the central part of the state and moved to NJ for 2 months, did not think it was for me and came back here, to be by I thought better docs, but the verdicts still out on that one.
I have a long ways to go, I need to lose about 100 pounds and I have been on every diet out there, and because of the medication and injuries and illnesses I am way behind everyone I started with.
I am going back to WW next week after I get the rest of the doc appts out of the way, they have a meeting at 12:15 on weds that will work better for me so if the roads are good and dont' get snow etc on them I know how to get there and am looking forward to rejoining.
Hope you all have a great day, nice to be here!

Today I went shopping with my daughter and I was able to purchase a pair of jeans and a shirt from this store because I was finally small enough to fit in their sizes. Yes they were still in the women plus section but being able to purchase these clothes really made me feel good and feel that the program is working. I am going to make it and I am so glad that WW is a lifestyle plan and not just a diet.

Hey All,
I'm new, too. I was on the sparks site a few years ago but petered out. I guess I can say the same for Weight Watchers. I am back now with a vengeance, though! I really like the new points plus system and have lost 4 pounds in my first week - though of course I ate a ton and wore my heaviest clothes for my first weigh-in. I've been around the block before!
That being said, I am through with playing tricks and trying to fool myself. I just want to be a clean, happy eater for life who lives with neither guilt nor excess weight. I just really like the lifestyle choices that WW gives and I'm willing to commit myself to it long term.
I've got about 20 odd pounds to be at my fighting weight and I don't need to do it quickly. A pound or two a week, if I'm consistent with it, adds up big time. I'm going to stick with it this time, and I thank you all in advance for your encouragement!
Best, Leah aka MsPopcorn

Morning all. Joined the team and then our local electricity substation had an explosion and our electric was off for just over 24 hours. They got us all hooked up to emergency generators then and asked us to be sparing using it and sometime this weekend it will be off for about an hour while they hook us back up to the main one. Luckily we cook with gas so could get meals and hot water for washing, using pans, took me back to childhood...lol,when we didn't have hot water through the taps!!
Anyway still doing okay on the old points system and lost another lb this week, so 7lbs in 2 weeks but I know the first week is often bigger so am settled in now for slow and steady.
Mona, pleased you are having a good time and will talk to you when you get back. Looking forward to getting to know the rest of the team

Hi team~~I am still here. But in VA!! My son's computer is super-sonic compared to mine so I just wanted to check in and let you know I am still here and looking forward to being a part of this team. I see my "sister" Sue has joined. We are both determined to do well with our points this time.
I will be home on Wednesday night and ready to forge full speed ahead. I will see you all on Thursday.

Although the weight loss has been slow 1 or 2 pounds a week I have been successful and feel that I can keep going forward. Tonight I gave away a lot of clothes that do not fit me because they are bigger sizes than I am now because I realize they were like a security blanket in case I gained the weight back I would have clothes to wear so now they are gone. I still have smaller sizes that I have which now I can wear again and once they no longer fit I will give them away. I don't want to go backwards and gain weight back and destroy my health. I hope now my mind is on the right track and I can and will succeed. No matter how slow or how long it takes we are on the journey to successful weight loss.

Hi, I am new to the team, but not Spark. I have gone back on the 'old' WW plan, had some success a few years ago and put it back on so here goes again. I have been on it just over a week and lost 6lbs. I know it will slow down now but a good start. I live in the UK so will be on at different times to most of you

Thank you for the welcome!! I have had some great success with Spark. I started out at 304 pounds in January of 2010 and was down 94 pounds. This summer was really hard for me and I am back to 216. But I am ready to get with it again and I had some great success with WW a few years ago and decided to use their "old" program and my spark friends to help get off this last 40 pounds.
I am going away next Wednesday but will try to post several times before I leave and then be more active once I get home.
Looking forward to meeting the team members!! have a great weekend!!

Hello everyone: I'm fairly new to ww team, actually joined ww again for the hundredth time. Now I have the perfect incentive to stick to it besides health reasons. It's more of a VAIN reason. My son (only son) paid me a visit and told me that he will be getting married in June or September. (He's only been engaged 3 years) It was the happiest day of year for me. So I need to get hopping and stay with it. stay on track, and look good for my son's special day. I just love my future daughter-in-law. so I couldn't be any happier. have a great day everyone will keep you posted.

I'm back form a long Spark Break that I needed. I was spending way too much time on the computer. I think I have a plan worked out now so I can be more balanced.
Looks like ya'll are doing well. I don't go to meetings anymore but have maintained within my 2 pound range for over 3 years now this past June. I'm sure I'll continue to maintain with all the support here on this team and others that I am on. I know I have to count my points and exercise. I go to Curves 3 or 4 times a week. That has made a difference in my weight maintenance too. I just need to lose some more inches and body % fat. That's the biggest challenge.
Anyway, just wanted to pop in and say hi and let you know I'm back.

Met my 10% goal at my meeting today! I'm 28 pounds lighter then when I started!

The best part about WW at Work: Accountability! Everyone knows each other and supports each other. As soon as I stepped off the scale today people were asking me how I did. Tomorrow at school I know our secretary will ask me how I did too. They hold me accountable to change and I love them for it!

congrats on your anniversary!
Easy Ways to Eat 5 Fruits & Veggies Each Day Tricks for Healthy Treats -- By Laura Bofinger, Staff Writer "Eat your fruits and vegetables." We've heard it all of our lives. If only it were so simple.
Our bodies crave fruits and vegetables more than just about any other food because we tend to get far fewer of them than we need. We often think we'd survive just fine on 2-3 servings a day – or less. But the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the USDA both recommend at least 5 servings per day! What you’re missing could be the difference between just surviving and all out thriving.
With just a little thought and a tiny bit of effort in snack preparation, you can make these nutritious foods more convenient and accessible.
Tips and Tricks
Add fruit to your cereal, oatmeal, waffles or pancakes at breakfast. Create your own yogurt flavors with plain yogurt and different combinations of fresh fruit. Snack on raw vegetables or fruits instead of chips or pretzels. Keep sugar snap peas, raisins or carrot sticks in your car, your office or your backpack. Use chunky salsa instead of thick, creamy snack dips. Drink 100% juice instead of addictive coffee, tea, or soda. Going out to lunch? Take a trip to the grocery salad bar. Use lots of dark green leaves and other vegetables instead of piling on all of the extras like eggs, bacon and cheese. Add frozen veggies to any pasta dish. It's an easy way to get in another serving of the good stuff. Keep fruits and vegetables in line of sight. Grapes, oranges, bananas, and apples make a colorful bowl arrangement on the table. If you see them, you will eat them. Dried fruit is just as portable as potato chips -- and less messy. It tastes especially good when added to basic trail mix. When cooking vegetables, makes 2-3 times more than you need and immdiately store the extra away for tomorrow. It'll save you time later on. Add your own beans and vegetables (tomatoes, spinach, peppers, cabbage) to canned and quick-serve soups. If you must have pizza, load on extra veggies and pineapple instead of fatty meats and extra cheese. Try berries, melons or dates for a naturally sweet dessert rather than the usual candy bar, cookie, or ice cream sandwich. Frozen fruit and veggies are nearly as healthy as the fresh stuff, and only take minutes to prepare. Combine fruit with your main meal courses. Raisins, apples and tangerine slices add sweet, crunchy variety to a salad. Apples complement pork, pineapple is great with fish, and orange slices are perfect with chicken. Besides being packed full of nutrients, fruits and vegetables can also be quite filling. They may even ward off any empty calorie snacking that might follow! Don’t be discouraged by the recommended 5 servings a day. The guide below shows that one serving is less than what you might think.
One serving equals: 1 medium piece of fruit 1/2 cup fruit (raw, canned, or frozen) 1/2 cup cooked vegetables (canned or frozen) 1 cup raw vegetables 1/4 cup dried fruit 4-6 oz. of 100% juice (serving size depends on the type of juice) 1/2 cup cooked peas or beans

Today is our 14th wedding anniversary woohoo:)
I HAVE LOST 15 lbs. SO FAR AND I AM HAPPY OVER IT "WOOHOO"
I am on week 9 now and have found that when I exercise more I need the extra points. Yes I have lost weight using all the extra 49 points and I have gained on weeks when I only used part of them. I think each person is different. It will take a few weeks for you to find what you can and cannot do. Good luck.

Welcome KMLang! I understand your doubts about weight loss using the extra points. I have used a few and am slowly losing. I'm really afraid I would either gain or stay the same if I used them all. What are others experiencing with this?

I just joined WW online on Saturday. I am allowed 29 points daily and I have an extra group of points to use through out the week of 49. I have been spending those points, but no more than 5 a day. Will I still lose weight that way? I have been making some changes inmy diet and being more mindful, but this seems tricky...I can have more than 29 points per day and still loste weight as long as I don't go over my 49 extra points??

Hi everyone. I haven't been here in a l o n g time. I haven't been to a meeting since November either. I know..my bad! Well, after getting on the scale and finding I was129.2 on Wednesday I knew I had to do something. This morning I weighed 127 after the salt was out of my body from eating saltines. I am om a water pill that I haven't take for a few days due to my schedule. After I took it Wednesday I lost the 2.5 pounds of water. But it was a wake up call. I need to track my food again. I began to get sloppy as I was working out and thought I could indulge a little more with chocolate mints and ice cream. Wrong! I'll go back to my meeting on Monday. Only thing is I'm staying with the Momentum program as that has worked for me. My goal is 125 or 126. I don't want to go over 127. I'm back to tracking as of today.
Well, I ate 17 points today. Good start but I will try for 18 tomorrow!

Okay, well I'm back on SP after being away for several months. My life had gotten so crazy hectic that I just didn't have time to play! Well...no more! I have resigned my position as a leader with Weight Watchers after serving in that capacity for 4 years. I hated to abandon my members the way I did - but too many politics from upper management finally did me in.
I have made so many friends working for them and have been blessed beyond my wildest dreams. But now, it's time to take a little time for me and allow my DH to take the reins and allow the Lord to bless his business. I am so glad to be back and hope to get reacquainted with everyone and make some new friends too.

What is it about daily chat that people shy away from? LOL it's like this on my team that I lead too. ONly a few participate. This is a great chance to add thoughts from your blog or your day. To tell others what you did, or to encourage others and so on.
I've been very encouraged today by others. AND one thing in particular has come to light that i would like to share. Someone was talking about the scale today and I've been obsessing about the scale and the problems that came with weigh in this Sat and I just realized, as I have known all along, that darn scale is nothing more than a number. It doesn't weigh ME, the true ME the me that has changed her lifestyle, the ME that has so much determination, the ME that can feel the pants get looser and the ME that knows that I'm more than just a number on a dead, plastic screen! YAH! for ME!

We are going to have to ride bikes everywhere here pretty soon and then I supose the Government will find a way to tax our bike tires or something. LOL
Any movie people out there? DH and I went to see SuckerPunch at the IMAX. The music was AWESOME! The movie was ok. I did understand after thinking about it awhile what was going on but kind of lame. BUT the music was worth it and in the IMAX CONCERT TIME :)
Open Mike Night tonight at our church, tell you about that tomorrow.

Hi Sorry I wasn't around for a couple of days but with packing for our big move and then I came down sick I wasn't myself. I still have a cold but I am up and about today. We had some really bad weather these past two days. The winds took our gazebo and a section of our fence and broke it then we had a leak in our dining room and bathroom. So this move couldn't come fast enough you know. Other wise things are going good. Well gotta go and get some posting done.Have a good week.Just wanted to keep in touch....

Hi everyone. I haven't dropped off the face of the earth yet. It's been so long since I have posted on any of my teams. Just needed to take a Spark Break for a while. I found I was spending too much time here and not getting things done around the house I needed to pay attention to.Has anyone else had that challenge? I just need to find the right balance for me.
Hope everyone has a great rest of the weekend. I'm still maintaining my goal wt within 2 pounds so I'm happy. It'll be 3 years in June for me for maintaining.

I'm having a great week! Exercise has been minimal because of a cortisone shot I got in my foot Monday, but I did go walking with the family yesterday.
I'm entering what could be a "danger zone" with several family outings and meals. But I know "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
Havea great end of the week!

ZUMBA tonight. Not the usual leader tonight someone different. It will still be fun! :) Are you wearing GREEN today? I have butterfly pins on that have tons of green them so I have GREEN :)
Journaling and planning my meals these last few weeks have really helped me I think. AND using my exercise points instead of all my other extra points all the time. Saturday I will know better since that is official weigh in day for me. Keep your fingers crossed. I'm very close to my 5% goal...
My goal this week was to journal at least 3X this week. DONE :) Happy GREEN day! Christie

As I understand it, exercise points can be used the day you earn them or any day before your next WI. Everything resets on WI day. That's the way they're kept up with on the online log.
Good luck!

Trying this again. I've lost 8.8lbs in 5 wks on the new WW plus plan. I tend to sabatoge myself about now so I need all the support I can get. I eat really well during the day at work, but when I get home I feel like I should eat before I go to ZUMBA class and then after class I'm hungry again. Any suggestions?
BTW, our exercise points only going by that day right. There not like our flex points or whatever we call them now right?
