I see that no one has posted on this topic for quite awhile ---- maybe I can light a little spark by sharing some success habits!

1) WRITE it if I BITE it! no matter how bad I think it is or how humiliating it makes me feel --- I simply must track! If I don't make the effort to track --- then, I lose track!
2) stay stocked up on all the low point items that I enjoy --- if I run out and have a tempting thought - then I must rely on my will power ----- and I know that's not a good thing!!!
3) re-read the WW guidelines from time to time ----- I think I'm doing everything right, but sometimes I can wander away from some of those necessary steps --- it's always good to refresh my memory about all the important details

Hope to hear from some other team members on what is working for you in your journey!

Tracking! If I know something special is coming up, I pre track that day and don't go beyond what I have tracked. Water and lots of it! I don't drink soda at work - I stick with my water! Always carry a healthy snack with me - it keeps me away from what I don't want to eat!

I'm not Andreanj, but found the post, so I will copy and paste it below. It was originally posted by Sunrise14 and I just happened upon it. Here goes:
I started using the tracker to only track my points ! What i do is favorites then food not listed then name it like WW ICE CREAM 2 (for points) then under calories put 2 then save . Then when i go to favorites i go down to my WW items. Like WW APPLESAUCE 1 THEN PUT 1 IN CALORIES THEN SAVE AT THE END OF THE DAY CALORIES LINE TELLS POINTS INSTEAD !

What a great idea Sunrise! Thank you for sharing this tip. I just started WW but don't use their online tracking tool. I was looking for a way to do this and MissM0929 was kind enough to point me to your post that tells how to do it!!

Being a "newbie" here, I just had to compliment everyone on being so positive, encouraging and motivating to everyone! I can say from past experience that tracking everything (before I eat it most of the time), water and just a moderate amount of exercise makes a world of difference. I love, love, LOVE the idea of tracking your points here instead of calories - very smart!!!! WW worked for me when nothing else did. And I know it will work this time as well. While the weekly meetings are valuable, the daily accountability here at SP is wonderful!

Using the new Calculator (I had the old one and it didn't work right as I was always off by a point or so) I miss being able to log activity points on the new calculator so I use the old one for that.

1) Definitely write everyday down. Whether it is mentally or physically. Try writing down everything for the first two weeks and you be amaze at what you actually eat!

2) Excerise: Make a habit of doing something everyday. Whether it is walking for 5 minutes, 10 minutes or 30 minutes. Every minutes adds up and really build your stamina!

3) Find your support team! Whether it is on sparkspeople.com or a group of close friends. Nothing happen without a good team cheering you on. Try logging on sparkspeople once a week to read the sparkpages and you be amazed at how many people are in the same shoes as you!

I pretrack as well. I also track on the WW website. I just find that using the computer is so much easier than writing things down. I am currently waiting for the thunderstorm to pass so that I can go walk! I've already pre-tracked for tomorrow!! emoticon Oops...and drinking the water. I'd say walking, water, and tracking are the secrets of my success...

I keep track of my points during the day because I can't always get on the computer during work hours. My mom (who also does ww)just got me a ww point counter which hooks onto my keychain.(She attends the meetings, I just do ww from home).
Before I go to bed I try to always log onto SP to log food, exercise and get 20 points. I also challenge myself to see how many days in a row I can log on.

One of the greatest joys in life is doing something somebody says you can't!

Question...I know that tracking is an essential habit. I'm having trouble with consistency. Some days I track online and others on paper. Anyone out there with suggestions on getting in a routine? For me it's either SP or paper.

Sparkle 1908 are you eating all of or most of your points? I'm new to this team and WW. This is my 1st week w/ WW and I lost 9.6 lbs! I was worried at first because I had to eat 40 pts (2,000). It's hard getting them in when eating healthy foods but I try.

I've been on WW for about 3 weeks now with no weight loss...I've done most of the things you have listed (mainly tracking, drinking water, exercise)..not sure what I need to do to get on the "right" side of the scale at this point....

If I ever figure it out, I'll be happy to add to this list emoticon
