To lower my cholesterol I changed up some foods in my diet:
heart healthy Smart Balance oil, margarine spread w/ olive oil switched to Morning Star no cholesterol products use only Egg substitute products do eat ground meat but only if 93% lean! eat more fish substitute meat with Tofu products substitute meat with beans, lentils 1-2 meals a week
Increased fiber intake
I went from cholesterol >280 to under 200! in less than a year

I am trying to use diet and exercise to control my cholesterol. Eating less meat and more vegetables and fruit. Also oatmeal and whole grains and I am taking fish oil supplements to lower my triglycerides, I go back in August to get tested hopefully the numbers will be better. I am quite honesty afraid of the medicines.
