My butter substitute is Smart Balance light with Flaxseed oil, 50 calories per tablespoon. It is a whipped oil blend spread comprised of canola oil, palmfruit oil, soybean, flaxseed oil and olive oils. 4% sodium.
I will not revert to the other margarines I used to use. Adding to food - taste is enhanced as well as with mrs. fleischmann's margarine.

I've been using Olivina - made from olive oil - no cholesterol. It's soft out of the fridge which helps me use less but I've also been mashing avocado onto bread for sandwiches instead or using no fat Miracle Whip. Any place I used to use butter or margarine, if I can substitute, I will. Of course nothing will work on baked potatoes but the real thing so I just use it. Lately, I've been using Yams in place of potatoes with good results. Don't need margarine on them, just a sprinkle of Romano cheese. I use no-stick pans with a little peanut or olive oil for frying - if I fry anything anymore.

My husband and I use I can't believe it's not butter or no salt real butter I'm not a big butter user, so their may be something better for: can't believe cals 70 from fat 70 sat fat 2g poly fat 4g mono fat 2g salt 90mg carb 0g protein 0g
