I've been using Olivina - made from olive oil - no cholesterol. It's soft out of the fridge which helps me use less but I've also been mashing avocado onto bread for sandwiches instead or using no fat Miracle Whip. Any place I used to use butter or margarine, if I can substitute, I will. Of course nothing will work on baked potatoes but the real thing so I just use it. Lately, I've been using Yams in place of potatoes with good results. Don't need margarine on them, just a sprinkle of Romano cheese. I use no-stick pans with a little peanut or olive oil for frying - if I fry anything anymore.
My husband and I use I can't believe it's not butter
or no salt real butter
I'm not a big butter user, so their may be something better

Which is the best product to use in place of butter. Do you have a favorite for low saturated/trans fat and for flavor/ease of use? Do you use it for spreading and cooking?
