I would so like to know more about this phslium (sorry spelling but the dictionary offered vaseline!) husk.
Actually I need to know from the beginning as I have only just heard of it in one or two places.
Info please?

I too have high BP and struggle with high cholesterol. Just today I heard Gwen Olsen speaking about how medications can be detrimental to lowering both. Looks like I need to bite the bullet and use diet and exercise to regulate both. High fibre has been known but strength training is new to me.
Any suggestions for diet and exercise will be greatly appreciated.
It is good to be part of this group. Hope I can be of help to some folks.
Have a great day, everyone.

I have been trying to increase my fiber but didn't realize it would help with my cholesterol levels. My husband also has high cholesterol and high blood pressure. He has been off cholesterol meds because they interfered with his cardiac meds.

Oh, I forgot to mention fiber. Fiber really helps with cholesterol also!

After being on cholesterol meds for about 7 years I have to quit them because my liver functions are back up again and it might be my meds since I am in remission of something else that elevated my liver functions. When my high blood pressure was first diagnosed and I started on meds I wasn't overweight. It runs in my family and family members that aren't overweight. I don't know about cholesterol levels in all of them but my doctor thought I probably inherited my problems. My strength training has be erratic but I know I need to develop a regular routine along with my cardio.
