Walking everyday I wear a pedometer. I strive to make 10,000 steps a day. It is not easy on hot work days. So if I cant walk at work I swim when I get home.

No...my cholesterol was up to 302 today....I am back on meds for a while I guess. I sure want to get off them but first I need to get down so I can do it safely without worry and insulin.

It's after 8 in the morning and I just finished working for the night. I think I will watch a little TV to settle myself down enough to fall asleep for a few hours. I have some running around to do today but should try to sleep first since I will be doing the driving.

So this will be my final check in for the day until late this evening. I want to wish everyone a great Monday....to start off your week with. A safe Monday and better yet a Monday that benefits us all in one way or another toward our prospective goals of a better health. For each of us that goal is different, but ultimately the same. May this Monday inspire you to do something a little extra.

Yes I just did 33 minutes of Cardio , and it makes me feel great.. sometimes it seems a bit tedious, after I am warmed up , it's great!!! And to know that this is good for me, good for my emoticon , and therefore, good for managing Cholesterol , and High BP emoticon

Started a nwe Cycle Smart class for those of us who are just 'fair weather' on the bicyle! It as fun! emoticon . The recommendation is to do two of these a week and a) my schedule is good for this and b) it was fun and c) I have a goal of three months to complete the sessions in full when appropriately fit!

Yes, I went to the gym and walked a mile and then did a 30 minute work out.

BP gone down to 122/80 still high for me but much better than before. Exercising is slowly but surely picking up ....

Inches Inches Inches lost are more important to me than pounds... :) well POUNDS ARE STILL IMPORTANT NOT AS MUCH AS INCHES THOSE SHOW THE REAL PROGRESS AND THAT IS A HEALTHIER WAY TO MAINTAIN YOUR WEIGHT!!

Consider walking in place of many of your day-to-day ways of getting around. For instance, when parking in a shopping mall park at the far end then walk to the mall. Also, walking around a mall is a great way to get your walking exercise in. When given a option of taking an elevator or stairs you should take the stairs because it adds to your walking and exercising. SP has many great strength and cardio exercises you may want to review and integrate into your daily exercise regimen.

I'm still on vacation until Monday....so I will be getting a nice walk in soon...I like my walks, but find I get sided tracked, if I don't do it in the morning before my days go haywire (for they always do) I have a problem with strength exercising and I'm working to get motived to start doing both walking & strength training.....Happy Sparking Everyone emoticon

The amount of time you have committed to your exercise is terrific. I am a little concerned, however, that you may be pushing a little hard. Remember, start slow and work yourself up to a continually challenging level.

I has to look up the CanAm motorcycle as I had never heard of it. Three wheels I like that. This is a good way to get some good outside exposure for vitamin D3.

I am trying to get into a regular exercise routine. I went to the fitness center 3 days this week for 60-90 minutes each day. My exercise today will be steering a CanAm motorcycle I have recently learned to be in the drivers seat instead of the passenger seat only.

I am only allowed to exercise my upper body because of my recent surgery. Exercising this way makes me feel incomplete. I do have to keep it up to manage my cholesterol and high blood pressure.
