So, Thanksgiving dinner was great! I filled up half my plate with prime rib, the other half with BIG That's it! I didn't want to fill up on salads and stuff I can have at home, or potatoes or rice dishes and feel draggy the rest of the day. Did I have dessert? Of course! Things that I'll never have at home. Did I feel "guilty"? No.
Today I have had cottage cheese and some leftover pasta/veggie stuff that comes frozen and you heat it up to make the house smell yummy (well, and to eat). Sprinkled with fresh cilantro, my favorite herb. A snack will be the chile mango in the little bag I get at the supermarket checkout (lots of Latino folks here), dinner is chicken sandwich with avocado.
Well, my sweetie and I are going to one of the casinos here in Reno for our Thanksgiving dinner this year. Ordinarily, we'd go to his brother's house, but since this is my first Thanksgiving here, we thought we'd get prime rib and all you can eat shrimp at the buffet.
Pros are no cooking, no cleaning. Con is the fact there are no leftovers, and we'll have to come up with something for tomorrow. We're working tomorrow too,
I miss spending the day with my boys, but things have changed, and it's not like when they were young and we had dinner at my grandmothers, complete with the nice china and the shrimp cocktail. Good memories though.
Shelled sunflower seeds mixed with pepitas. I got a little bag at Walmart and didn't read the label as closely as usual. The sunflower seeds come from Canada and the US, the pepitas from China I avoid food from there, who knows what's in it.
So far, a banana and a chocolate almond biscotti. Lentil soup is on the menu for dinner. I LOVE the steamed ready to eat lentils from Trader Joe's. Oh yes, and some chewy sourdough bread to go with it. Mmmmmm

Sat- So far I have eaten one 170gram yoghurt with oat bran stirred in. Low fat cheese and 4turkey slices and a egg with one piece of bread. For dinner I am having chicken and salad and another yoghurt with oar bran.
