Throughout this week, I kept wondering why gun control is the forbidden topic. How many people have to die before we can change the laws so that deranged individuals have no access to guns? My mind wanders to Columbine and to all of the other places where innocent souls were killed by guns. Of course, bombs also harm many people at once, but the government has attempted to limit access to those ingredients.

“Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in, forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day, you shall begin it well and serenely...”
Ralph Waldo Emerson quotes (American Poet, Lecturer and Essayist, 1803-1882)
“Cowardice asks the question, 'Is it safe?' Expediency asks the question, 'Is it politic?' But conscience asks the question, 'Is it right?' And there comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular but because conscience tells one it is right.” ~Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
