I was visiting a friend in New York this weekend, so I just saw this post. I hope the weekend went well for everyone.
My weekend was awesome, but not big on exercise. And too big on alcohol. But food was good. And there was snow and hot tubs and football games. Good weekend. ;)
As for your depressed friend (and keep in mind I don't know the situation), why not try and take them for a walk next time? Not some monster power walk, but maybe a stroll through the trees, or at a park. Getting outside is a mood elevator, as are the endorphins from exercise. This way, you get a little exercise, and it's another way to help your friend.
My neighbor and I made a pact a few weeks ago. Each week, we were going to do one thing on our "someday list." So far, I've taken an old tv to the dump, got stuff to Good will, cleaned my files (and shredded what needed to be shredded) and have cleaned out half a spare closet. I haven't decided on this week's project.

This weekend I am spending a lot of time supporting a friend who is depressed. So I'm having trouble finding time to get my exercise in. BUT I am going curling tonight, and I am going to try to squeeze in my pushup, situp and squats challenges. I will also focus on eating my proper meals.
