Hi Warriors! Everyone is getting mentally prepared for this weekend and that is a lot of what works - being prepared and having a plan. I find that if I have a plan, then I know when I'm making a concious decision not to follow it and I just say "oops, it got away from me"...
No big events this weekend that hold temptation. Football Friday night as usual, but I think I've got that one under control as I've held steady the last 3 weeks. Save room for a burger is what I do and then I pretend I might get some sweets and then I never do...sounds strange. Friday I've got a run planned. Saturday is a lighter day of yoga/pilates. Sunday is a longer run. I'm hereby promising myself that I WILL stay in calories this weekend and get back on track for my 20 day goal of staying in range. I'm on day 5 as of today! My splurge will be going to eat Mexican food on Saturday evening, but it will still be staying in range.
Kim - If you can be the DD on your night out, that is what I've seen works well for avoiding the calories that come with drinking (not so much the drinks but the munchie foods that you let slip in!). But if you have a beer or two (or 3) you can do it!!
I see a few of you with weddings and those are tough, so hang in there! I know I tend to pig out b/c I've never been to a wedding with healthy choices and I've never seen a cake I didn't love... BUT that word called moderation is what really counts!
Buckeyekells - per your other post on the swimming and running... girl, you ARE readay for a triathlon. Check into the Danskin triathlon - they have them in tons of places all over the US and are for women only and are a good "mini" distrance tri. Lots of fun... I did one ages ago and it was a great motivator. The swim is only 800 meters so you would already have that in your sleep!
