I didn't even check in on Monday...there should be some penalty for that...well looking back at what I planned, I am here to tell you that is not at all what happened...BUT while I can honestly say I didn't do anything awe inspiring this weekend...like come in range for calories...log on at all...or any of my planned strength training....

here is the one bright spot...I have noticed a change in my mindset. I am accepting that there will be times when all you can do is think about your choices...plan for the unhealthier ones we sometimes "just need" and keep up the good fight.

For inctance...this weekend...i planned a healthy lunch for my family after our first football victory!! and then I personally convinced them all to go have ice cream...BUT...we all "needed" it...and I got the kiddie size...and just sat outside with my fiance and kids and had ice cream...not the best choice for the physical...but did wonders for the mental.

The rest of the weekend was like that...a little give ...a little take...all in all... OMG... I think I am becoming a healthy person!!

So far so good for the week. Another night of swimming tonight and then the routine switches over the running half of the week. HELL, I could probably do a triathlon by the time I'm really into all of this, haha.

Good morning everybody. I am so happy to have this room for support and knowing others have problems with the weekends. I did bad in the calorie range on Friday night then right back on on Saturday. So, I stayed within range and walked both Sat. and Sunday. At least it was only 1 day off this past week. Better than before. Little steps, right? And today, I finally reached 60 pounds. It seems like every pound after 50 has been a challenge, but a very very very worth while challenge. lol. Have a great day everybody.

Hi all! Sounds like a mixed weekend for a lot of us. Not letting a Saturday night slip bring the whole weekend down is definitely better than I know a lot of us were doing, but still gives us more room for improvement. These weekends are tough, but just remember it is possible!

Buckeyekells - just think of that swimming and it should get you on track today... and if you can put a whole week in between you and this coming weekend, it might make it easier to stay on top of things this weekend. At least you have so much good exercise going!

So, I can't say I was Warrior either :( However, if I look at the two day average of Sat. and Sunday, I was actually only about 30 cals over range.... but I think working the #s like that is cheating :) Saturday was going so well and we had that darn family bday celebration dinner and I went over due to the artichoke/spinach dip and bday cake... now I didn't totally pig out on anything, I just didn't realize until I got home to estimate calories how much some of that stuff ended up being... so I was definitely over... and I did know while I was there that I should just skip some of the snacks I had. At least I didn't walk in, see the table of food and just drop all sense and totally binge - that is how it use to work a lot. I also kept giving myself allowances for running my 10K in the moring and needing the extra fuel... which I didn't, but it sounded good at the time.
Sunday I ran the 10K which was really hard and I burned way more cals than I thought possible.... and I ate much less. So, maybe it balanced out, but I still don't think I can say warrior.

On to the next week and making this one better!

Sorry Buckeyekells, I've had lots of days like that! But trust you can get back on track! I've been so out of control but for the past week I've gotten it together. So if I can do it I know you can! I did really well with eating Friday and Sunday. Saturday night I got out of control. But I worked out both Saturday and Sunday.

I wasn't even a cheerleader much less a warrior this weekend. I spiraled out of control starting last Tuesday. I kept telling myself all week that I would fix it, and made some concerted efforts in food choices, but did not exercise again. Today is the day I put a stop to those bad habits. I have swimming tonight. My focus is on eating my packed lunch and drinking LOTS OF WATER.

Mind over fatter.

I was definitely not a warrior this weekend. I did lots of exercise, but I ate way too much. I am hoping that this weekend I will get back on track.

I think we should start a Monday Warriors group.. I am so tired and don't feel like going to work.. emoticon

I hope you all had a great weekend!

Hey everyone! How's the weekend going? Friday I did great by staying at the low end of my calories. Saturday I got a long walk in. Unfortunately last night I gave into snacking and went over my calories. But this morning I just got done with incline walk on the treadmill, some weights and did a short step aerobics video. I'm back on track! Just gotta stay strong today but I think I've got a good amount of things to keep my busy and distracted from food!

Hope everyone is having a good weekend!

Way to go NMCELRATH!! It's great that you're right back on track!

Friday night wasn't too good. My parents bought shortbread cookies and I had way too many. Today I got up and did Turbo Jam and aerobics for about 2 hours. I have to be weary of the cookies. I already had a few, but I logged them so now the calories are right in my face! I think I'll have Subway for dinner tonight.. yummy!

I hope everything is having a great weekend!

Hello fellow Warriors!!!

I just have to share....I am doing a great job back in the saddle....I have been in calories...and have had great workouts since I got back on the bus!!

Woohoo!!!!

I have even upped my workout regime...as I have less than 4 months until W day (wedding).

So as part of my warrior planning...there will be no consumption of alcohol this weekend...and I am totally fine with that. I have printed off my meal plan...and I am going shopping tonight...as planning my meals is a major part of my success...in addition I will workout Saturday....and take my kids to the park on Sunday...if weather is a factor...I will do my core videos...and maybe rehearse some new zumba routines....aawwwww yeeeeaaahhhh!

Chris - Have a great time at Disneyland! Sounds like you are making good plans for healthy eating. My good friend who has also been trying to lose weight had a Disney trip and while she said keeping on the eating was a challenge, they did so much walking she still lost a pound or two that week... good luck!!

KSUBIZZO - Congrats on a 4 day winning streak! I'm working on day 3 after a major slip on Tuesday which ended my 15 day streak. However, I know that I can do it again and this time am going for 20. So just think of the weekend and how if you stick with things, you'll have a 6 day streak going and by next weekend you could get to 11! Sounds like you have good plans for football and healthier choices!

Tonight is another football game and lots of tempting junk food and hoping to cope with it like the last two weeks where I can save some room for a burger and then if I need any munchies leave at pretzels or fruit.

Here is to a great weekend!!

This is going to be a big change for me, but since I was feeling so under the weather all week, this weekend is where I am going to focus my attention on catching up. In the course of the week, I went over calorie range twice, missed 2 swim practices, 1 run and a day of work all thanks to exhausting TOM. SO.... since I am feeling much better this morning, I have a run planned for tonight, tomorrow, and Sunday as well as healthy eating within calorie range for the weekend. Then next week I can ease swimming back into it as well. I'm not going to dwell on my mistakes from this week bc I can't get them back anyways AND I think my body needed the break.

Mind over fatter.

Hey everyone! It's Friday!!!! This is day 4 for me on eating right and exercising. Even after my HORRIBLE weekend, by getting back on track and doing great with my eating the past 3 days I did dip .9 lbs. I thought that was huge considering what I did. So I'm hoping that when I start feeling the urge to eat everything in sight I need to remember how good it felt to see the number go down!

Tonight the hubby works late. I think I'm gonna just relax at home and catch up on shows I have in the DVR. Saturday I plan to workout, then just watch football all day on the couch. Gonna have some friends over Saturday night to watch a game and listen to our Wildcats on the radio. I'm making soup so we won't be bad and order pizza.

Stay strong this weekend everybody!!!

Hi, all. Sunday we're going to be in the car (2 kids, me, hubby, my mom) for about 11 hours driving to Disneyland. We'll eat breakfast at home before we leave.

I just decided to pack a really nice picnic lunch for us to eat mid-day, instead of stopping at a fast food place on the way. It'll be healthier for our bodies and our budget. It will also give us a good reason to stop at a nice rest stop on the way down and get some exercise and break from the drive.

If hunger isn't the problem, food isn't the answer.

Hi all! After my Tuesday cookie fest, I'm going to have to be a good little warrior this weekend... and better than the last few. Instead of barely staying in range, I need to stay more at my calorie per day goal. Sunday is my 10K race so I'm really excited about that and I know that will motivate me to eat well on Saturday. However, I need to perish the thought that Sunday I'll celebrate doing my 10K with any food item... I really need to think of other ways to celebrate - I must be really boring that celebration always seem to mean going out to eat or eating something high calorie!!

It is almost Friday - YAY!

Friday - Another bday celebration. Will eat before we go out, rum & diets, (maybe one good beer if we do end up going to this one bar), and no drunk eating.

Saturday - home all day, so I can make good choices while there. Evening- going to festival with roomy and my parents so that shouldn't be too bad. Watching the game somewhere random...

Sunday - keep myself in check. Walk 60 min.

Mind over fatter.

hi,
this weekend i am getting a friend of mine to come out running on the trails with me. She got out there with me on Sunday of last week so even one day a week is better than nothing. I am still trying cut down even more on my sugar intake and this is the weekend I plan to giving it an extra push

One thing about tempting things - if it's out of sight, you're way less likely to graze. So if Mom just made cookies or has a cake sitting out, ask (or just do it) if you can put it away in the cookie jar, in the fridge, in the laundry room, whatever, just so it's not in your face everytime you go to the kitchen for some water. If they have a bowl of M&Ms on the coffee table, put it away. You get the idea.

If hunger isn't the problem, food isn't the answer.

Hi all!

This weekend will be interesting. I am going home so that's always a challenge. My parents have some healthy foods in the house, but always have plenty of tempting, bad foods laying around. I don't know how to combat this. Any tips?

Friday night I'm going to a football game then home. I should be okay that day. I am just nervous about Saturday and most of Sunday. On sunday I actually have cheerleading practice! First time I've said that in about 4-5 years. My high school is doing alumni cheerleading for homecoming next Friday, so I'm pretty excited for that. I also plan on taking home my Turbo Jam and TaeBo videos. I just hate working out while my parents are home. They always have a comment waiting for me, argh.

Best of luck to everyone this weekend! Enjoy the final days of September!!

This weekend should be better. It's my first weekend in awhile that I'm not going out of town. Also, only one til December. You know gas prices are just so cheap, I figure I should drive all over the place. haha

Anyway, my cats aren't on tv on Saturday so I'll be listening to the game via radio Saturday night. Thinking of inviting friends over to listen and also watch whatever games are on tv Saturday night. I could just cook some soup which would be good and easy to serve. Main thing is that over the weekend I don't get bored by being home and eat out of boredom. If it's not one obstacle it's another!!!! I may be posting on here every 5 minutes this weekend trying not to eat!

well, I think I probably already posted this in a more general topic, sorry for the repeat.

This weekend I need to make sure I focus on finishing my runs. It seems the past two weekends I have had a hard time (and failed) at making myself finish my planned runs for the training program. So this weekend I will focus my energy on that.

Hopefully the eating will fall in line like it has for my swimming as well. It just seems easier to eat healthy when I know it will affect how I work out (and how easier/hard it is for me to do so...).

Mind over fatter.

Hi, everyone! Just starting a thread for the upcoming weekend.

This is a different weekend for me.

Saturday I'll be cleaning house, packing, then going with the family to my sister's house (1-1/2 hours away) and spending the night there. No big challenges. My sister may cook dinner, but she'll cook something healthy.

Sunday we'll be driving to Disneyland (about 12 hours with breaks, meals, etc.). I think it'll be fine. When we stop for breaks, I'll play with the kids a little (no real cardio, I know). Food will be OK. I'll pack some healthy snacks. Meals I'll split with my husband and watch our choices.

Anyway, should be fine. :)

If hunger isn't the problem, food isn't the answer.
