Bananas, applesauce, rice and toast AND I love gingerale when I'm getting over the bad tummies. I agree, you must get some carbs in - your bodies metabolism is on fire when your immune system is doing its thing.

You're sick. You need energy (calories) to burn so your body can get over the virus, and carbs are fantastic for providing that. When you can't keep anything down, finally being able to keep something down is a plus, not a minus! Bananas and oatmeal aren't candy, either, they're full of good nutrients. Listen to your doctor!!

Yes I have had this for 2 days now and it is horrible. Nothing but water for 24 hours and can't even keep that in. Doc. says to try mashed potatoes and bananas today. Don't want all those carbs though.
