Well, my pedometer is anicent history. I decided to go walking yesterday & when I was walking back to my house I had to cross an intersection & my pedometer fell off my shoe. When I notice it was gone, it was too late. A car had already ran over it. Talk about bad luck!!! So I am now in the market for a new one. Hopefully have time to buy one today or tomorrow.

Good work so far! I just got a pedometer for my birthday, so I'd like to attempt this goal too, although I feel like 10,000 steps a day will be practically impossible for me, I'll try!

I have had that happen to me (the pedometer resetting), it can be so frustrating. If you are walking outside, there is a map that can help you determine how far you walk and/or run. I have used it a couple of times to see if my pedometer is working properly.
Everyone keep up the good work. The walking is good for us and helps to get us where we want to go.

On my first day using the pedometer I couldn't get an accurate count because for some reason when I went to check it it had somehow reset the numbers. I know this because when I had checked earlier in the day I was up to over 5,000 steps and I was excited about the amount and by the time the evening came around it was only 1,500 steps or so. I don't know what happened but today I will continue to check up on it and maybe jot the number down somewhere just so I can get an estimate. Hope you continue your great numbers. Will keep you posted.

Good work on the 16000 steps. I walk every weekday morning for about 8 miles. On the weekends I walk fewer miles.

Congratulations on your success to the top. I just got my pedometer today so I will join you in noting my progress. I wonder how many steps I can do on one day.

My goal is to walk at least 10,000 steps a day. I find that having somewhere to record my progress holds me accountable for my actions & ensures I stay focus and achieve my goals. Therefore, this thread will be use to record my progress & if any of you would like to do this with me, feel free to join in.
