I eat something about every 3 hours - even if it's a piece of fruit and yogurt. My 3 main meals are usually about the same in terms of calories. I used to have a light breakfast, a moderate lunch and a heavy dinner. Now I strive for balance.

I try to eat at least every 2 1/2 hours to 3hours with at least one snack in between. Before, I would eat only twice per day with no snacks. At times I would not be hungry... Now I am eating much healthier... learning to choose better foods and drink more so thart I can be full before a meal.. This will help you not stuff your face... However this is still a process and loving the change....

With hypoglycemia, I have to eat about every 3 hours. Mind you, they are all small meals, more like snacks. It keeps my blood levels right and insulin okay. And besides that, I enjoy smaller meals. I'm less sluggish.
I called the pharmacy Friday & she told me the iron supplement I am taking is probably causing the nausea & the water pill is probably causing the lightheadeness. She said to take the iron supplement with food even though the bottle says to take it on an empty stomach. She said sometimes it takes a week to get used to a new medicine. My Cardiologist comes in Wednesday so I will call him then if I don't feel better. Today I took all 3 medicines separately & after I ate something. The nausea is gone & the lightheadeness is a little better.

I just started Spark People Monday & I have been trying to eat just the calories they reccommend but i have been feeling light headed & nauseaous. It gets better when I eat something. I also started taking medication Wednesday but when I stopped I still felt like this so I was wondering maybe it is not the medicine. It might be because I am eating less than I normally do. I heard you should eat something every 4 hours. Do you do that? Some people eat someting every 2 hours. What do you think? I took my medicine with food today so I will see if I feel better. Thanks for your help.
