Day 430 - I almost feel guilty about claiming the day. My housework was light cleaning, saving the heavy stuff for my daughter to do tomorrow, but I did a lot of walking - while shopping and at the casino, ahem. I also stuck in stretching and just moving in place in a bunch of short intervals today when I really I wasn't going to get anything more formal in.

Welcome Reg! It really does help to have a community behind you and a way to keep track - and keep on track!

Day 420 - 13 min for this morning's walk, and I wasn't suffering too much at the end of it.

Just got 20 min in at the pool last night - started off by falling face first into the whirlpool. I saved my book and water bottle, swallowed 1/2 cup of chlorine. SHows what's important to me, I guess! I would up with matching charlie horses before I ever got into the pool itself. So, 2 falls in the last week with no harm done. I may have to be more careful, tho....

I guess FLYLADY would call me a 10 minute fitness club spark baby since yesterday would be Day 1 of a fitness streak for me. I did 25 min Zumba, 16 modified pushups, 16 of 2 types of crunches. I have such difficulty staying committed. I love the trial of Spark coach, it is really helping me be more consisten on my food/exercise log. I love this site! Thank you. I intend for today to be day 2 by bedtime tonight. Will check in again tomorrow.

Not yet able to claim the day, though I've done a lot of walking - but it's been behind a shopping cart for the most part. I do plan a swim this eve.

Last night I fell on my butt in the snow, and I was glad that we got more than the rest of the city did - it didn't hurt at all because I fell into a 3-foot cushion of snow, which I had compacted to about 18". So, while the good thing was - it was soft. The problem was - it was soft! I put my hands down to push myself up and they just sunk into the snow. I was crab-walking sideways between the car and the wall of shoveled snow around it when I went down. I never thought about it, but snow cradled my butt so that I wasn't even able to roll out of it. The DH offered me one hand and I got up enough to move sideways. Then he was able to offer two hands for me to pull against in order to finally get up. It took all I had. This was all DAYS after the snow fell. We were at 40 degrees yesterday and today.

Day 414 - It's only because I plan for three or more exercise breaks per day that I can consistantly get in 1. My morning walk didn't pan out this a.m., but the afternoon walk did. I did not make it to the pool yesterday, but I hope to this eve.

walked about 50 min today. used to be able to do it in less time. slowly but surely.

Day 412 - 4 15-min efforts at shoveling 14" of wet, heavy snow. We have two long driveways, so even with the DH trading off on shovel duty, it was more than my usual amount of exercise. Now for a nice hot soak!

I have been using the 10-minute Trainer off and on now and every time I have saw results. This time I am going to stick to it and get the job done!

Yay Minnie - It's so nice to have you back!

Well, I may have overdone it yesterday. I got in 10 min walking this a.m. - but the walk I did should have been about 7-8 min. I was hobbling!

Stayed on at the pool for an extra half hour last night to talk with a friend while walking and swimming (sidestroke or breaststroke) back and forth. Nice at the time. But, after half an hour in my easy chair at home, I could barely move!

So, back to moderation on a regular basis I guess. EXCEPT that all signs indicate that this eve and tomorrow morning, my exercise will be shoveling snow again.

Day 409 - just in case I don't make it to the pool, I spent at least 10 minutes on the stationary cycle purchased for DH, which resides in the basement now that he can't remember ever wanting such a thing. LOL well it was only about $25 through a thrift shop
