Great Chevygirl, congrats.

I did about 2 hours of gardening yesterday and later in the evening I walked for 20 minutes. I was sore, but it felt good to be working in the yard.

Hi everyone. I am very happy to report that I have had my best week yet on Sparks! I have rode my Gazelle for 30 minutes 6 days this week. I use to hate exercise now I love it!

I went to the biggest shopping centre I know today and walked around and around for two and a half hours! Was fun too!
Also skipped for 8mins this morning (it is so tiring!)

For me it's hard to get my walks in during the week when I work. That's where I squeeze in my 10 minutes whenever I can. One goal is to use the stairs as much as possible. That way I'll add more value to my 10 minutes.

Hi, I'm new to this group. I too look for opportunities to walk on the job and make it count. I time myself each time, and make each walk last at least ten minutes. I take the longest route to my destination and use the stairs instead of the elevator. I walk instead of riding a shuttle. I'll walk in a loop just to make sure it takes at least 10 minutes. I add each walk that lasts 10 minutes or more, to my cardio tracker. It's been working so far. I feel energized and also meet my cardio goals that way.

Oh I think I need this!! 10 mins a day 3 days a week? Let's give it a try, eh?

I will be walking for 15mins today.

I think I'm going to buy a skipping rope. I heard that jumping rope for 10mins burns as many calories as walking for 30mins. I hate not having the time emoticon

Great group! Kayla, thanks for posting everyday. I think that encourages everyone that it can be done. I've been on this program for two weeks and one day, but I haven't been exercising everyday. However, I have for the past three days, so I guess today is day #3 for me. 30 minutes of strength training.

Hi all this is a good group for me. I am having the hardest time getting motivated or rather get into a routine. I work the grave yard shift and am tired all the time. I also have Fibromyalgia so that doesn't help any either. Yesterday and today I managed 20 min of Yoga. So I guess this will be Day 2

day 1: Yoga 20 min
day 2: Yoga 20 min

wow...let me be the first to comment on here. i cannot thank you enough for creating sparkpeople. it has truly made tremendous differences in my life in a very short period of time.

i have not only lost some weight, i have been told by my dr to cut my insulin in half...they are very proud of my progress, i have more energy, i am moving more, i am more involved in things, my house is cleaner and i am accountable for the things i do to my own body.

my daughter recommended sparkpeople to me and for that i will be eternally grateful.

thanks spark guy.
