Day 3 for me did a 1.9 mile walk in 40 mins and did some crunches and wall pushups for a total of 43 mins of exercise today. Happy sparking today.

Lots of positive energy going on around here. Love it!

emoticon Just saw all the helpful and encouraging comments to my intro post. Sure helps to know that I'm not the only one struggling with plantar fasciitis. I guess I will have to get over my major pout because I had to put my pedometer aside for a while. I'm icing, stretching, and grumbling in good company. We will overcome!

emoticon Here's a throwdown!!!
Let's get creative and find those non-feet ways to exercise! Today, I'm brining out the weights and also doing some floor exercises. Challenging my pf friends and others with limitations to get creative, too.

Just wanted to say hello and encourage you to move that beautiful body today. We are doing a Walk Across America on one of the teams I belong to. It gives me inspiration to convert those exercise minutes to MILES. It is great fun.

emoticon Hikersan, for the encouragement. You are right, even if we get 5 mins. it is worth the effort.

Did more walking yesterday, I know I I got at least 10 minutes, but I forgot to attach my Spark Activity Tracker when I changed my clothes! emoticon Hate it when that happens! Thankfully it is not too often.

To all of you who seem to feel you are not doing so much with your 10 minutes, compared to those who do more . . . . . PLEASE give yourselves credit for every one of those minutes! Praise yourselves for making the effort! Feel GREAT that you did it! I am in the same boat. There is NO need to beat yourselves up, Turn that negativity into positive thoughts. We are all in different situations so it is not good to compare ourselves with others. There are many factors such as age, ability, health, chronic health issues, emotional challenges etc. that make us all in different places in our lives and abilities.

Remember that we are trying to build consistency for ourselves! That 10 minutes counts!

This team has been welcoming to each other. I like that spark! I just joined yesterday and have gotten back to walking 2 miles for these two days, with a little Coach Nicole 4 min walker stretch thrown in at the end. I should mark my calendar and see how this streak goes. I did a 10 min streak once that was 24 days.

Just joined the group today. I use my Wii Fit Plus to weigh myself every day, and I do yoga and exercises I got from going through PT every day too, plus a lot more each day. So getting 10 mins in a day is no problem. I also do a lot of walking each day, and house work too. Janette

Linda here! Joined today! I am required by my Dr. to complete 12 sessions 2X a week of swimming exercises for my L4 & L5 back problem! I go 1 hour early for these session so I can just "walk around". Love being out and around all the exercisers! great machines there too!

I am going to do it and want everyone there with me!

emoticon Hi my name is Bob and I just joined today. I have completed 120 minutes of various exercised today. I did 30 minutes on the eliptical, 30 minutes on the gazelle, 30 minutes on the recumbant bike, and walked for 30 minutes doing the grocery shopping for my wife!

I use the 10 minutes as a backup to ensure I never miss a day where I don't perform at least 10 minutes of exercise. Normally, I work with Coach Nicole's 28 Day DVD along with the daily exercise. Then, I move on to either Jillian Michaels or Leslie Sansone. On those days when I can't exercise the way I want to, I do 10 minutes. You can do 10 minutes of exercise anywhere without people thinking you are weird. I take days off in a week, with the exception of the 10 minutes.

I joined this team some time ago, but reading SparkGuy's blog posts have made me realize: I CAN do 10 minutes of fitness a day. As I was reading those posts and those of other team members I kept asking myself why I wasn't walking around the block a couple of times a day or taking a couple of trips around the grocery store when my schedule kept me from my usual exercise.

Got in a 10 min walk this a.m. Of course, I plan to swim later, but the only reason I was able to get to a streak that was over 2 years long was that I took every opportunity, and had 3 planned exercise breaks most days. It's supposed to be a cold rainy week.

OK, I really am at Day 19, though I have not been posting regularly. I actually spent nearly 2 hours treading water today - and didn't cramp up. I'm a little sore though, even before I go to bed. Ah well, it's a good kind of sore!

Oh, Minnie, I'm sorry - I didn't really think you'd be left so alone in here, and sick to boot! I've been swimming and working and saw a couple of doctors and changed some meds, so that now I can move about almost like a normal person. I swam an hour today. Walked a bit tonight, watching for illegal fireworks. There were some, but I didn't get to enjoy them. They finished up or were over the hill. We are kind of in a valley.

I spent four months in so much pain. The last few weeks have been worry about work - we just can't seem to get paid for what we do, so I am having a hell of a time paying my people and my bills.

But, my feet and knees hurt less than they did, and that is a good thing! I really, really appreciate the pools in the summer.

I joined a gym with a pool! And my work will pay me $20/month if I go to the gym 8 times/month. I went and played in the pool Thursday. I plan to go back Tuesday.

Hi. I keep popping in from time to time and then I fall off. Been pretty consistently working out, but not coming here. I need to come back.

Today was day 4 of doing crossfit this week and I went for a 40 minute walk with my son.

I had a body scan on Tuesday, and I have a really high amount of fat (like 40% and 75 pounds) so my goal will be to bring it down and change my body composition.
