Strength trained for 15 minutes, did Nordic Track for 6 minutes and then walked/ran 4 miles. Did extra today as having friends for lunch and dinner tomorrow.

Not checking in every day, but I have been getting my exercise in. Going just a little bit faster on the laps and walking. The walk that took me 20 min a month after my surgery I am now doing in 10-11 min. So, backtracking..
Day 6 was Tuesday. Some time on the fitness equipment as well as 35 min swimming.
Day 7, yesterday, 10 min walk (faster pace!) and 30 min swimming hard + some stretching

Today, I really need to get into it, but have been on hold with the IRS for 2 hours, missing a call from my doctor's office. This afternoon have planned a trip for shopping with daughter and a walk-through of the house she and her DH have under contract. Actually, I have managed to brush my teeth, get dressed, do hair and make-up, fix and eat breakfast and clean up the kitchen after self and MY DH, so I may just do my lunges and squats (ooh, fun emoticon ) while I am on hold, now.

OK, Day 3 was the 18th - Sat. Swam about 30 min. Seems like I got a walk in, too, but I didn't record that at the time, so I', not claiming it.
Day 4, Sun, I remember for sure swimming 45 min.
Day 5 - today, I have gotten in a 15 min walk so far, so I can claim the day!

Go Minnie, Go! You just got way ahead of me.
Day 2 - I have been walking today, for about 15 min and I swam hard last night for 45 min. after walking a little in the daytime.
My "Day off" came because my daughter and her husband had an appointment to sign some papers to buy a house and she was overwhelmed with questions. So I got the paperwork by email early in the afternoon, but went ahead and took a road trip to sit in on the meeting - which turned in to 3 hours of sitting and talking. Then we went out to eat - by then it was 9p. And then I had a 45 min drive home, so...I did not get my exercise in on Wed. But it was for a good cause!

Reporting for Mon and Tuesday as Days 50 & 51. Swimming! at least 30 min per day, and I am going a little faster and stronger now than I was last week, even. I also am walking a little further, although my feet complain a lot. Give the walking 15 min/day as exercise. I have strolled through a few stores, too, LOL. Today - well I've turned in the taxes for last year and gotten the first quarter estimated info to the accountant, so I guess I am free to get out and about. emoticon

Hello all!

I've just joined SparkGuy's 10 minutes fitness team - my friend is in the team and I think it's an amazinf idea to aim for at least, 10 minutes of fitness each day. Plus, I really, really love being able to click on that LIKE button either on Facebook or on Sparkpeople!

Minnie, thanks so much for your concern!

I do have mixed feelings about closing the business. BUT, my period of mourning has been over for a while, and I am honestly looking forward to working with and for someone who is NOT my husband, LOL. He just started a new job, and would you believe? he is working out of the house! So, I'm not to interrupt him at all, but of course he feels free to interrupt me whenever he wants for anything or nothing at all. I'm just doing taxes and stupid stuff like that!

OK - Days 46 - 49 (taking me through yesterday, again) I managed to swim at least a half hour daily. And, I lost a pound, even though we went out to eat a couple of times and it was hard to be really strict with the carb count. I'm doing the Atkins thing this time round.

Reporting for yesterday, again. Day 45, Wed 35 min swimming, plus just about 7 min walking (a storm was blowing in) and 5 min doing my knee exercises.
I have done some knee exercises and stretching today, but that was just to get the kinks out. I am closing out my business, paying final sales tax and stuff like that.

Day 39, 04.02 -- my knee exercises - stair-stepping, squats and lunges only took me 7 minutes, but it was a beautiful day to go for a walk, and that took me another 15 or so.

OK, for me it's still 3/28 and my day 34 - I worked out on the gym equipment tonight for 30 minutes, and I expect to be sore tomorrow. I did some heavy house cleaning today, too, but I'd rather focus on the gym part.

Day 33 - started with a late annual check-up. I really feel like I was thoroughly checked out! I was asked, among other things to walk on my tiptoes and squat down as far as I could and get up again. I was kind of impressed with what my new knee was able to handle! But I guess my tippy-toe walk wasn't quite normal. My feet have hurt for years. That's part of the reason I am so enamored with the pool!
Anyway, I did swim last night and will tonight. I'm heading out for a walk just as soon as I can put on my walking shoes.

Looks like yesterday was Day 29 of this streak - swam laps for 30+ min.
I've been painting today and really feel like I have gotten some exercise, as I am dripping sweat. Plans to swim this eve, just the same to claim Day 30 today.

I did my 20/20 challenge today. That is day 2 of 7 days done. I did the Leslie Sansone 2 Mile Belly Blasting Walk with the 2 segments for abs and back. I also took my dog for his morning walk. It was a 1.8 mile 50 minute walk with him. He loves his morning walks. It did feel good to do this today.

Day 28 can be claimed - did my 15-17 min walk in 14 min, so I must be getting better, faster, stronger.
SparkPeople has offered me points to take the getting started challenge! It has only been 9 years, now that I look, and the info is new all over again.

day 37 been moving. 30 min yesterday and day before. today i walked over an hour (in 2 pieces) at a good pace carrying stuff.it was hard work where i used to not notice it. i guess my leg is healed. now to get me back into shape. also did some strength stuff.
