Minnie - I missed something! Your jaw surgeon has declared you healed? That sound like surgery was successful, but I don't remember hearing about your jaw. May I ask?
My fitbit says I have walked 45 min today, and some or most of it was a pretty brisk pace, but I also plan to go from work straight to the pool. Here's hoping that my last caller of the day doesn't keep me here for hours...

emoticon had a wonderful BD celebration yesterday - and even got in 30 min brisk walking during breaks at work. (and before and after work). Lost a pound, I think, though I haven't claimed it yet. Ate a WONDERFUL meal last night, and sampled other peoples plates as well as my own - I love it when I get a variety!. Have some great BD cards, with a definite animal theme. A new swim suit and beautiful skirt. AND
I got up super early and took an hour swimming laps this a.m., so I am Golden, and can claim this as Day 347 of this streak.

the 18th and 19th I got in lots of swimming - to claim Days 344 and 345.

Today, all I will have much time for is walking briskly over breaks at work, but should be able to do 10 min! I'll get back to you on that, lol. Today, we are celebrating my 64th BD, which was yesterday, actually.

OK, so I did meet my daughter at the pool at 9:30P and we swam for an hour in the moonlight. So cool!

Day 340 - I went for a brisk walk this am. Thought I was going to swim last night and this morning, but a noon - 9p schedule cuts a lot of things short, grumph. Tomorrow before work, I have an appointment with the vet with my ornery cat - Lucy Furr - so will not be swimming tomorrow am either. Supposed to meet my daughter at the pool after 9p on Thursday. Looking forward to that. Hope I can get there before 10p.

oh, busy, busy - especially at work, but I really have lost a couple of pounds. And I have been swimming adn LOVING it! The weather has suddenly turned great. And since my health club has 2 pools outdoors, when people are able to spread out to them, we all have more room. So, I am good through Day 332 (I think) of this streak

OK, so Wed was my Day 321, and I did not swim - so sad - but I did get in over an hour walking.
Thursday, Day 322, I did swim for about an hour, and walked for 30+ min.
Friday - today - I swam for 65 min, and have spent 35 min walking.

Finding my way BACK to Spark People. Day 4. Am focusing on exercise at this point. This is Day 3 - from having been discharged from PT 2 months ago. Yoga stretches (3 routines, alternating) and strength exercises (arm, leg and core - alternating according to yoga exercises).

I missed posting yesterday, and I ALMOST missed my exercise - had a nice dinner out with the DH, after grocery shopping and house cleaning, and never made it to the pool. I walked while waiting for a table - and made the DH wait for ME to order, lol.
Today, I have my walkin' shoes on, and have done a brisk 20 min already to claim the Day 318. I do hope to swim later, too.

Day 316 - I didn't make it to the pool. The house was just too disgusting, so I spent my free time cleaning - and I took a brisk 20-min walk. So, I DO claim the day. It just wasn't as much exercise as I like. Oh, and did some phone calls and set up appointments for myself and the cat, lol. Our poor kitty is allergic to SOMETHING, and I guess it's finally time to pay to find out what we can do for our poor Lucy Furr.

I used to drink tons of Kroger-brand sparkling seltzer water...I hated the taste of bottled water,
faucet water, you name it. But I literally got sick of the sparkling seltzer water. So, I kept my stash of it
then bought bottled water and flavored water enhancer. NOW, I am SICK of bottled water! Well, I whipped
out my stash and am back with the sparkling seltzer water and it tastes sooooo good. Quenches my thirst like you
wouldn't believe. It is energizing where bottled water makes me so tired. Well, just had to tell you my
story of the day! "Water" you doing? LOL

I was really productive today. Got bills paid, groceries, shopped a bit and found a sweater that I needed at a great price, swam for nearly an hour and have gotten in 55 min walking. The work day (or night) started out on a high - My last (temporary) mgr gave each of us a $50 gift in our online shopping center - I took a Red Lobster Gift card! But I have faded and can't seem to do anything right now. Good thing it has finally slowed down and it's almost quitting time.

Thanks, Minnie! I did enjoy both the piano playing and the dinner out - and still found time to swim, so that was a good day. Yesterday I swam late, and today let the rainy day keep me away from the pool. adjusting back to night shift today. I have walked 20 min on an indoor track at work, then it has taken another 15 min or so to get in and out of the parking lot - this is a BIG place. So, Im legit through Day 312

And, for Day 310 I have walked a short 2 miles. It is gorgeous outside and I pushed myself, so that feels legit, even if I don't make it to the pool. (It's date night)

LOL, Minnie - You are Right! I can't believe how long I failed to report. Have been walking and swimming daily, though! an average of 55 min each daily. Can't claim today yet though, as I have been catching up on sleep and computer stuff, bill paying and so on. Still, through yesterday, I guess I was at Day 309.

I am back to the night shift starting Monday, and probably back into a more regular reporting pattern.

Welcome, welcome, CBASS! Reporting and keeping up the streak has really helped me to form good habits.

I can't claim today yet, though, as I went to work a little earlier than usual (noon) and plan to walk on breaks and swim after work. But I can claim yesterday as Day 284. Swam for 45 min, even though I spent a couple of hours at the walk-in clinic over my "cold" which is treatable now that it has become sinusitis, bronchitis and asthma - but NOt PNEUMONIA!

Did a water aerobics class for an hour, then swam laps for 10 min or so. Also some brisk walking today - it is BEAUTIFUL outside, and very hard to work inside, to claim Day 283

Thanks, Minnie, I am feeling better - not WELL yet, but lots better.
I tried to post a time or two, but I guess I wasn't successful. I haven't entirely missed any days, because I do myphysical therapy exercises and some walking every day, but I did stay away from the pool for a while.
Went back and WORKED it today and yesterday, so I am on Day - oops - whatever it was on the fifteenth + four, LOL

273, Tues, 274 Wed and 275 today, thursday, I have felt awful and the weather has been beautiful, so I was at least able to push myself out for walks and do the PT exercises (Wed I actually had therapy, and worked up a sweat!)

Now, at work, I am taking enough cold medicine to start 'breaking bad', and I feel really stupid.

I tell you, I can bring any computer to its knees!

However - I also got the taxes done today, so that's a load off! yay

Day 272 - It's Monday all over, and I have a bad cold, sore throat, itchy, drippy nose and all that. SO, I didn't swim, but I have managed 3 10min walking sessions today. Will probably do my PT stuff when I get home from work, too.

Day 270 - yesterday, swam for 45 min, walked for 30 min, did my PT exercises for about 15.
Day 271 - not done yet, but I do have a swimming date with my daughter for after work

Day 269, found a friend to talk to during water aerobics class, so it was pleasant even though there was no way to get a lane to swim in. So I just fooled around in the water, but that helps, too!
Doing more exercies in the evening and back to walking over breaks, too

Good morning all.
Need to get back on board with this team. I mean, 10 minutes a day is not something that I can't do. Usually I manage at least 30.
Today I haven't done anything yet, but that will change this evening. Electronics are terrible distractions. I need to learn to stay off of them to get anywhere close to my goals.

Minnie - I appreciate your concern and suggestions. My PT says I really am better and should only need 2 more sessions with her. I think I can feel the difference. It's just 5-6 times per day now that I get electric shock type twangs in my hips and back. I had a day off, and that helped my attitude, too. I took the day OFF by golly, and didn't doany heavy cleaning or much on the tax paperwork, either.
So, happy to report that I swam yesterday - 45 min, but after a grueling 30 PT work out that was sufficient, I think. Oh, I also redid my Pt EXERCISES IN THE EVE.
Durn caps lock, hmm Today I was able to swim an hour, and found that I really CAN share a lane without hurting myself too badly, if the other person is not a big spasher, lol.
So, I am good through today, which is Day 268 of thhis streak.

Minnie - I hope that it was a WARM rain and that you are suffering no ill effects today~

Swam for an hour this a.m. before work to claim Day 266.

Saw on the news that a lot of us who take statins suffer from muscle pain and weakness. I think statins and the resulting muscle pain were partly or largely responsible for my last fall off my diet and exercise program and then weight gain. I'm feeling like I am losing ground and having a really hard time getting TO MAKE MYSELF exercise. I may try ditching the statins for a while and see if that helps. My cholesterol is not THAT bad.
