emoticon 12-5-16 I am SO very happy for the charity, 8,500 Santa's & counting! I walked for on Saturday, but also SP! emoticon Look what was in the Sunday section of the biggest paper in our area! I have been promoting Spark People since the day I joined, 3-16-12! LOL, well, Minnie you are STill AHEAD of ME, since I totally took a couple of weeks off.

About 2 weeks ago, I decided to wo5rk harder and pulled a tendon - to the point where I was on crutches for over a week Now, I carry a cane and wear knee braces.

At least one of those days, I could have done something, but just didn't. Today, I got my lazy carcass out of bed and to the pool and instead of working really hard kicking and swimming, I plopped my butt on top of some kickboards, and waived my arms around to excercise my core.

DEFINITELY starting over - Day 1.

hope your knee feels better. i'm seeing a PT for mine, too. not sure it helps.

i broke my streak yesterday. just couldn't drag myself out of bed. knew i had to get up very early today. :(

but i walked over 3 miles today for day 1.

OK, I DID get in swims of 50 - 55 min for each of the last 3 days. So I'm good through today and it is Day455.
However - I can barely walk! The knee I did NOT have replaced hurts something awful. I think I will try to get in to see a PT tomorrow.

10/08/16 - Day 450 - spent nearly 2 hours treading water non stop, and talking. Didn't even notice the time, or get winded.
10/09/16 Day 451 - have only walked about 15 min so far today. Did a lot of cooking and taking care of the cats before coming in to work early for a Sunday. But, I will get off early, too, and plan to swim then.

Good through Day 438. Swam for roughly an hour most days, except Saturday I strolled through a park /town festival, and shopping with my daughter for over an hour after heavy cleaning in the am. Then marched through the mega grocery store with the DH after dinner, so no pool for 1 day. I missed it. But, i really do feel lucky to have 3 wonderful pools at my disposal 7 days a week!

LOL, Minnie - to make up for lost exercise time, I got up early today and took it out of my sleep time instead!
75 min swimming + walking not yet complete
Day 434, because yesterday, as my day off, I was able to tread water for 70 min. and that was Day 433.

I think I just deleted my post. hmm. Claiming throug h Day 432. Swimming and walking daily. Vet appointment again tomorrow. ONly limited time (45-50 min) for swimming because little Lucy Fur must have her meals and shots on time. But she is SO much better!

Day 428 - distracted by my loving little cat who is coping with allergies and feline herpes, and diabetes and an upper respiratory infection. She has been SO sick, and we have to change her diet and give her shots two or three times a day. She's been to the vet 5 times in the last 7 days, and has panic attacks that lead to convulsions and seizures. It is SO hard on her, and that is hard on us.
BUT I need my swimming even more - have cut it to45-50 min/day rather than my usual 60 -75 min/day. But I am claiming the days.

Only able to do a 10 minute walk this morning.. Muggy and 80 degrees at 10 am ! Perhaps a video later on.. something indoors!
