Day 91 (yesterday) was an odd one. I am counting the 30 min of heavy cleaning in the a.m., and walking my daughter's dog for 15 min or so. But not installing a light fixture because, even though my arms got tired holding things over my head and I suppose I did some balancing and high steps getting up onto and off of a chair, it was not aerobic or heaving lifting - unless you count lifting myself, LOL
Due to heat and humidity, I did manage to lose a pound. YAY!

Yipe! - It is hard to be accurate when I failed to report for several days. I DID get some intentional exercise every day, though. So Today will be Day 86 once I can claim it.
One day, I put together this monster book shelf, with my 'helper' basically reading the directions and telling me that must be wrong. The bookshelf kit weighed 68 pounds and it had to be lifted and carried and turned and forced into submission. I probably sweat out five pounds - and of course re-hydrated so that the scales didn't really show much difference.

one night, I went upstairs at the health club, since I really didn[t feel I had time to swim, so I did 20 min worth of weight lifting and some walking.

Otherwise, I've been swimming a lot.

7/7 was Day 80 - did my usual swimming, pushing it for best results. Inside because of the weather.
7/8, Day 81 - was minimal. I went upstairs at the health club. Arrived late and worked out on the machines for 25 min before soaking in the hot tub.

I can't believe I got away from posting for 5 or 6 days! I did swim every day, though, and walked on 2 or three of the five I missed posting. Tuesday was the problem for me, as I felt bad all day. But, once I got busy, I felt better. Actually swam for an hour that day!
So I can claim through yesterday - my day 76.
And, I should go garden, but my walk instead.

Yesterday was Day 72 of this streak - 60 min swimming + 10+ min walking. Today has just begun!

Mandrade - Slow and steady wins the race! When I first found Spark People, I was only able to walk 3 min at a time - because my weight put such a strain on my joints! After a while, every one in my office was doing walking breaks. My DH is up to an hour at a time in the early evening, and his diabetes is under control. I gradually gave up (with doctor's full support) two of my BP meds and was told I have 'postponed indefinitely' having diabetes myself. Walking is THE best and cheapest exercise. I just happen to love to swim more...

I have scheduled 10-15 minute breaks at work in the mornings and afternoons to walk around the parking lot. It isn't a huge parking lot, but it's something. So far I"ve only been able to do the morning schedule because of my workload, but I feel better. I still feel fatter than a roly poly ball, but I'll keep going. I have support from my bosses and others. The mild COPD and the pains caused by my heavy chest sometimes get in my way, but I'm going to push ahead.

And, claiming yesterday as Day 67 - 10 min walking at a 40 degree slant! plus only 45 min swimming, as I was having intestinal troubles and needed to get out of the water!
