OK, for me it's still 3/28 and my day 34 - I worked out on the gym equipment tonight for 30 minutes, and I expect to be sore tomorrow. I did some heavy house cleaning today, too, but I'd rather focus on the gym part.

Day 33 - started with a late annual check-up. I really feel like I was thoroughly checked out! I was asked, among other things to walk on my tiptoes and squat down as far as I could and get up again. I was kind of impressed with what my new knee was able to handle! But I guess my tippy-toe walk wasn't quite normal. My feet have hurt for years. That's part of the reason I am so enamored with the pool!
Anyway, I did swim last night and will tonight. I'm heading out for a walk just as soon as I can put on my walking shoes.

Looks like yesterday was Day 29 of this streak - swam laps for 30+ min.
I've been painting today and really feel like I have gotten some exercise, as I am dripping sweat. Plans to swim this eve, just the same to claim Day 30 today.

I did my 20/20 challenge today. That is day 2 of 7 days done. I did the Leslie Sansone 2 Mile Belly Blasting Walk with the 2 segments for abs and back. I also took my dog for his morning walk. It was a 1.8 mile 50 minute walk with him. He loves his morning walks. It did feel good to do this today.

Day 28 can be claimed - did my 15-17 min walk in 14 min, so I must be getting better, faster, stronger.

day 37 been moving. 30 min yesterday and day before. today i walked over an hour (in 2 pieces) at a good pace carrying stuff.it was hard work where i used to not notice it. i guess my leg is healed. now to get me back into shape. also did some strength stuff.

yesterday, Day 25, I DID get in a 15-min walk and I went to the health club. Went up and down the long staircase for the first time in over a year - since way before my knee replacement surgery - and used the equipment up there for 25 min or so before going downstairs to swim.
Day 26, today, so far, I have done my knee exercises (lunges, squats, stair steps) and taken a 15 min walk.

Day 23 - Sat. OOFTA! I painted all day - climbed ladders, crawled around on the floor, stuff I haven't done since about 4 years before the knee surgery. Then, I went to the pool and just walked in the water for 20 min and soaked in the hottub.
Day 24 - Sun Started off sore, but put a second layer of paint over yesterday's work. Then went to the pool, walked and swam for about 30 min.
Day 25 - today! I'll have to get back to you on that.

I did finish yesterday with 30 min swimming laps, and that was after a 15 min walk, so at least 45 min on Day21.

OK, I am sitting at my desk and I can feel my back getting stiff from lack of exercise, but as I am behind in reporting, I'm going to do that now:
The 10th, Tuesday, was Day 19 of this streak, and I did knee exercises and 35 min of walking at the pool, and only a few laps.
Day 20, Wed. I walked for 15 min and swam laps for 30 min, and then added 10 min treading water and streching.
Day 21 Today! I am just getting up and out!

wow!

day 30 one month.
walked home today first time since break. exhausted. i think bone is healed; still painful, but not the way the break felt. but rest of me is terribly out of shape. both feet hurt. short of breath. took 1.5 times the time.

Today I rode horses with my neighbor for the first time in over a year. I have not been on my horse since I lost all this weight either! How wonderful it was. I also got 17,520 steps today. What a great day! I also rode my rode bicycle for 13 minutes plus nearly as fast as my legs would pedal! WooHoo!! No to take a nice shower and go to bed! :D What an awesome day! :D

Day 16 was apparently 3/7, Saturday. We had company invited over for the evening, so I just did some knee exercises as exercises, but I spent a couple of hours doing heavy house cleaning, so that I was sore when the DH decided we needed to walk through the new Ikea near us - and THAT took 35 min at a good clip. Lordy, but that place is huge!
Day 17, Sun - knee exercies 10 min, plus 35 min swimming laps and 5 treading water.
Day 18 - today! - I have done some stairs and squats and also got my heart pumping walking up our 45 degree hill. My daughter is taking me out to eat this eve, and then I am taking here to my health club for a nice dip.
ALMOST finished with the tax prep, business and itemized personal info pretty much documented. (75 pages of small print).
I think I was too late applying for a job I really want, but life is good and it's a beautiful day.

Day 15 is claimable because I have walked my hilly route for 20 min or so. I plan to swim later, and throw in some lunges, but I can report!

Thanks for the encouragement, everyone!
Day 13, I only did one of my 3 occasions for exercise, but I swam hard for 45 min and I feel it today.
I also had a call-back appointment with the surgeon who remade my right knee, and he said "Keep doing what you're doing!"
Day 14 (today) got in my knee exercises this a.m. A 15 walk just now actually has me breathing hard. To get around our 'block' I walk at a 45 degree angle and it's up for 1/3 mile, over and then down for 1/3 mile. I can swim and/or tread water for an hour without feeling it, but hauling 200+ pounds up this hill is a lot for me, still. On a happy note, I couldn't take my swimsuit up enough to be comfortable, so I bought a new one - 3 sizes smaller!

I don't know why I am having a harder reporting my exercise than I am getting the exercise in.
Sun, Day 10, I swam for at least 45 min
Mon, Day 11, I walked 20 min and swam 35
Tues, Day 12, I did my knee exercises for 10 min and walked for 15. no swimming because I was invited out to a dinner meeting that ran late.
Wed., Day 13 - well I'll have to report back on that!

OK, Sat., day 9. I am just back from 45 min swim. I have een out walking through stores, too and should be pushing that vacuum, but it's not much fun.

Yesterday's total came to 60 min. I'd like to get back to that as a regular number. I remember first starting though, when it took me three tries to get in 10 min walking.

Nola! Speaking of total knee replacement!! Mine was in Dec. How long have you been working out kinks?

I got 15 minutes on the bike tonight! I have readjusted the seat and I am hoping that tomorrow when I ride I can put my foot in the clips. I have been riding with one foot clipped and one foot with the pedal upside down because my total knee doesn't bend all the way and it makes my ankle hurt when I pedal with it in the clip!

Drat this cold, Minnie! Although I really can't much complain. We've had it much better in KC than over most of the country. I counted yesterday early on the day itself, so now I'm all messed up. I have done some knee exercises indoors, and am just heading out for a walk. Friday, today is Day 8 of this streak, I think.

OK, reporting for Tuesday as Day 5 - swimming only, but about 50 min. Day 6, Wed., lunges and such plus treading water, total about 45 min. Day 7 Thursday, walked 20 min and swam hard laps for 225.

Thank you Minnie! - I seem to have missed reporting at least one Day - which would have been Sun, I think, and Day 4. Just now reporting for yesterday as Day 5. Swam at least 30 min each day. Although... , my new knee is hurting me again. Don't know what that is about. The surgeon did say a year to heal. sigh. It is NOT as bad now as it was before surgery, though

Feb 5 to Feb 11 6days
Feb 12 18 4days
FEb 19 to 25 so far 2days its getting easier and doing things at home are becoming a habit .
