First a LOL, because I read Tim Horton's and wondered why a donut shot has a training video!

I will try to check it out from the library. I guess you see what you want to see!

I've been using this for almost a year.

I've seen results in that I can do all the workouts all the way through now. Whereas, in the beginning it was tough. Results definately come when you do more than one 10-minute routine a day. I just don't believe you can lose weight if you are just doing 10-minutes of this (and nothing else) everyday. However, that said, everyone has to start somewhere. And getting through 10-minutes is a great start. Just increase it when you can. And you certainly don't have to do 3, 10-minute workouts all at once. Break them up into the day.

My normal daily routine (Monday - Friday) is the 10-minutes of yoga when I first wake up. Then at work, I take a 30-minute brisk walk. In the evening I squeeze in one more 10 minute workout (either lower, upper. total body or cardio). Weekends I lighten the load. I do the abs workout on Saturday and then Sunday a 10-minute cardio workout.

I have been doing TMT for 2 weeks now, and it seems to be working. I got it because my schedule SUCKS. I work 14-hour days 3-4 times a week, and mornings are the only time I have to work out. On "non-work" days I have to sleep in to recover, and I don't have an extra hour for P90X (although one day I want to move up to this program). I run two other businesses on those days, and the stress is really hampering my weight loss efforts.

In spite of this, I have managed to find 15 minutes or more (warm-up, workout, cooldown is more than 10 minutes) almost every day for 2 weeks. I do at least one workout from the calendar, and if I have more time I do 2 or 3. I have been trying to cut out all sugar from my diet and to eat more protein and fruits/veggies, but I haven't been tracking consistently. I don't usually get real meal breaks during the work days - I just graze throughout the day on whatever I brought with me, and lots of tea and coffee to keep me going. Not exactly a recipe for success, but the eating plan is just not an option for me right now.

The results: yesterday and the day before, two different people asked me if I have lost weight. The scale has only gone down one pound, and my waist has only decreased by half an inch, but my buns are tighter and my abs show a hint of definition. I am sore almost every day from the routines - they are pretty intense for being so short. This is a good thing! I couldn't complete the abs routine the first time (I only made it though a minute and a half!) and I struggled through the rest, but as time goes on they get easier. I am also noticing an improvement in my alertness at work - back-to-back shifts used to drain me completely, but I just worked 4 out of 5 days in a row and I feel pretty good.

I wasn't expecting miracles from this program, but like anything else, you get out what you put into it. If you are consistent and do more than one routine when you have time, you will see an improvement. So far I am impressed more with the way I feel than the weight loss, which I'm sure is good news for my health. I am planning to finish out the 4-week calendar and then start the Deluxe program. The initial 5 routines can get kind of boring after a while.

Has anyone else seen progress from this program?

"There are no mistakes. The events we bring upon ourselves, no matter how unpleasant, are necessary in order to learn what we need to learn; whatever steps we take, they're necessary to reach the places we've chosen to go."

Well it is a new year and I'm ready to loose some weight. I lost about 25lbs a year or so ago. I would like to loose 10-15lbs more. I just requested TMT from the library... cheaper than buying it. I am also joining the 10min challenge. I hope that I can keep it up... 10mins a day not that bad?

I can fax you a copy of the workout chart if you need it! Also, my TMT didn't come with the 10 day plan for a smaller jean size. Can anyone e-mail me the plan?

Congratulations on your weight loss everyone!! That's awesome! ingI'm new to Spark and hoping to find people that are also doing the 10 minute trainer. I came across this forum and read through it. I am so happy that I found others that are working through TMT as well. I have the DVDs, but took them on vacation with me and lost the workout chart/schedule.

I am wondering it someone wouldn't mind faxing me a copy of the workout chart. Thank you

Hi Everyone!

I just ordered mine yesterday and I'm so excited to get started! I've done P90X (and like most of you fell off the wagon after 3 weeks) and I own Insanity but haven't done it. I'm just excited to have something that I can do for 10 minutes each day - that's so attainable! I told myself if I bought it, I'd have to work out for 10 minutes each morning at least! Can't wait to try it!

The way that 10 minute trainer works is you can do 1, 2, or 3 of the 10 minute exercise sessions. They say to do 3 sessions for optimum performance. I don't think that doing one 10 minute session will get you weight loss results unless you have little to lose and have a perfect diet or are trying to maintain weight. Following the program every day should get you results. There are some youtube videos of people's progress. See www.youtube.com/watch?v=OUH4RxqIEk0

I prefer to do a combination of tapes so I don't think I can speak to how good 10MT is by itself. I have many many exercise videos including Turbo Jam, Windsor pilates, The Firm... blah blah. I think it's ideal to do a mixture of exercises.

At any rate, here is what I think of the 10MT tapes I have (I don't have the deluxe edition).

Cardio - this really gets your heart rate up. It's a good 10 min cardio workout. I like adding it to my morning. It makes me feel like I really accomplished something.

Lower Body - this provides a great workout for your quads for sure. Sore the next day. It's fantastic

Abs - I don't really like this tape. I feel that it's not as direct. I prefer 7 minute abs (Tony Horton extra on Turbo Jam disk). My abs aren't really sore. And the exercises use shoulders a lot. Like doing a plank like pose. I don't like it. I opt to do Turbo Jam's Ab Jam instead.

Total Body - I find that I don't do this one that much.

Yoga Flex - I like this. It's good to stretch those hamstrings and quads. It's easy yoga stretches.

Sigh. I haven't been as consistent as I had wanted too be with Tony Horton so I can't report on the effectiveness of this program. :( Today (Aug 16) would have been Day 65 if I had been doing 10 minute trainer this whole time. I bet I would have results to share!

I had some starts and stops since this post. I'm on track now. But I haven't done much of 10MT. It started getting really hot during the day (28-30) inside my apartment so I opted to work out at the gym instead, so no Tony. Previously I was doing the 10MT in the mornings and then the gym in the evenings but I had to stop the 10MT because I felt I would die of heat stroke or something.

If you have a nice air conditioned environment, Tony Horton will work for you.

At any rate. I am now at my parent's house with somewhat functional AC so I do:
Windsor Pilates (30 minutes) usually every day
plus some Turbo Jam (either Ab Jam or 20 min workout)
plus one 10 minute trainer (some times)
sometimes 1,2, or 3 miles of 'walk away the pounds' (tracked as walking = 1.6, 3.2, or 4.8 km)

I also go to a new gym (extreme fitness) for treadmill and weights on Tues and Thurs.

See my SparkPage fitness tracker if interested.

I just started the 10 minute trainer program. I have the 4 DVDs set which includes: Abs, Cardio, Total Body, Lower Body, and Yoga Flex. I also have Turbo Jam (I do Ab Jam and the 7 minute Abs from Tony Horton).

I'm on Day 7. My next weigh in/measurement day will be on Day 14. We'll see if it works.

To respond to your post FASHIONGEEK89, I don't think 10 Minute Trainer is gonna bulk you up that much. I think P90X or Chalean Extreme are both better for building muscle.

I do love 10 Minute Trainer though. It's so short but so tough and effective.

Love the 10 minute trainer! Tony has a great way og uiding you through the circuit and the fitness models make it look 'do-able' :D I feel like I have really gotten in a great workout even when I just do one session though I usually try to do at least two! What is good about this is that you can do these moves at a variety of fitness levels... I use some modifications even now! It is worth it... You can do 10 minutes a day!! YOU are worth it!

Hey Everyone!
I couldn't help but say congrats to those of you who have taken on this program! I actually work in the Beachbody Success Story dept so it's awesome to hear so many great reviews from people who have given the program a try. I wanted to also let you know that we are currently looking for people who have done TMT to share their stories with us. We are getting ready to shoot a new infomercial for the product and we'd love to use you!! If you have any before and after photos or a great story to share about your experience working out with Tony I would love to see/hear it. You can find me on this site as lelu1126 or send me an email to lnorris@productpartners.com As a success story myself I encourage you all to keep pushing play!!

I've been using them for about 6 months have had excellent results. I wasn't comfortable spending $100 or more on these DVDs especially since I already had the bands so I found someone selling theirs. Try Craigslist or ebay and you might get lucky. For only 10 minutes a day it's well worth it.

I like to use the videos on days that I am short on time or on days that I want a short, intense workout. The yoga video is great for stretching after a looooong workout.

I have found WONDERFUL snippets on YouTube if you want to get a sample taste. I too wondered about this DVD, but was really hard-pressed to fork out the money - even with the money-back guarantee (because somehow a product arrives at the warehouse just a little too late to receive a full refund and then the full charges start so then I have to call the 800-number and eat a whole box of Chips Ahoy while complaining to some CSR about removing the charges and blah, blah, blah..). Soooooooo...anything I see on informercials, I can usually find a snippet of it on YouTube. I also found some great videos by other lesser-known celeb fitness trainers. You string along a few of them and there is your 20 to 30 minutes! I personally enjoy the dance-focused videos. They are more fun, work all the muscles, and don't seem like WORK!

So that's my "cheap girl's" guide to accessing popular workout media products for FREE!

Yes, when you get the deluxe you get a DVD with 3 more workouts that are accelerated. Plus I also purchased the one on one TMT, which is AWESOME! I won't do that until I can do the accelerated one without stopping and then I will add the one on one TMT.

I was really excited to have completed my first week of TMT, the C25K program and the STS Bootcamp and then . . . I got sick on Sunday! Some dumb flu virus. If it were just a cold, I would probably be able to plow through it still, but with body aches, fever, etc. I just don't feel like it. Sooo, looks like I'm going to be delayed in finishing when I wanted to. I'm hoping to get back on track tomorrow. Wish me luck! :) How long have you been doing the TMT videos?

I have the 30DS too. I think the 2nd level of the 30DS is definitely harder, but I haven't done the TMT videos with the resistance band (connected to the door jam) yet. That looks like it adds more intensity to the moves. I wanted to get familiar with the moves before I added that!

I finished day 6 of the TMT program this morning and I LOVE IT!! It's fast-paced, not boring and the best part . . . I'm down 1.5 pounds in less than one week! I know it won't keep going that fast, but it is encouraging! I was surprised to have worked up a sweat in only 10 minutes. (I try to do all 3 for the day though). I'm also doing the STS Bootcamp and the C25K training program, but those aren't really that much by themselves. I'm really glad I bought the TMT videos!! They probably aren't enough of a workout for the P90Xer's but they might be a good filler for those days when you only have a tiny window for a workout. emoticon

I just purchased the 10 minute trainer, I hope it comes soon so I can start on it asap. Has it worked for anyone? and if so, how much weight and pant sizes have u lost?

I love 10 minute trainer. I think it's great that it promotes space-saving, inexpensive resistance bands instead of dumbbells. Each exercise is 30 seconds to 1 minute long, so there's no getting bored. Tony is a wonderful coach and motivator.

I work from home half the time, so I just pop in the dvd for a quick heart healthy workout when I get bored at my desk!

Hi, I'm new and just started 10 Minute Trainer. I do three workouts a day and was I pleasantly surprised at the intensity. I cannot do the ab workout at all, I just don't have the strength: so I do the Intense Ab workout that came with my Power90 program from a few years ago. Its 10 minutes and seems to do the trick. I can't imagine ever being strong enough to do the ab routine that is in 10 Minute Trainer.

The ab workout kicked my butt - I couldn't even keep up with it, but I'm sore - WOW, can't imagine how I'll feel when I can complete the entire 10 minutes...

Thats great! My firefighter buddy actually does the same thing, but with the p90x. He took a small dvd player to his local gym, just so he can do the p90x workout. So don't worry about how you feel!

I also only did the p90x for about 3 weeks and also fell off that wagon :) It is an amazing workout but not for me, I don't have the time it takes.

Hi - I just started this yesterday and boy am I sore! I'm trying to follow the 10 days to lose a jean size. I have an 8 month old daughter and when I'm home I want to focus all my energy on her and when she goes to sleep there is no energy left. I brought a DVD player to the gym at work (small but free :) ) and I went into the weight room and set myself up - I felt funny at first but the heck with what anyone thinks - I'm moving and I will do this.

I also did the P90X a few years ago - did it for 3 weeks then fell off the wagon...

Hi All, I'm new here but have been using Tony Horton's 10 min trainer for 3 weeks - it does work! My issue is I work a lot of hours and sometimes do not put enough 'me time' so I can zone out of work...I know I need to change this habit as work will always be there but health will not...Hope to get back on track b/c I feel this is a good program...also do biking / walking here and there :)

I have had the 10 minute trainer since about July 2008 and have loved it. Not only did I see results but I also feel great. I guess its not a lie that if you stick with something for a long period of time you will eventually see results. I once tried p90x but it was too hard for me.. lol. I also only lasted about three weeks with it.

The hardest thing with the p90x workout was that they require a lot of time. Each workout was like an hour long! Which is one of the MAIN reasons why I purchased the 10 minute trainer because I wanted to see if it would actually work.

For me I wasn't over weight, just not in shape. My good friend was over weight when he started using the 10 minute trainer and he is seeing amazing results. I don't know what else to say besides that if you spend enough time with this workout you will see results, just like any other workout.

I purchased my copy from www.ultimatefitnessgear.com back in July and saved money buying from them, but if you do buy from ebay I would be careful because usually they are only selling just the disc. One of my friends bought the p90x from ebay from some seller and he got a boot legged copy which had none of the books and the most important part was the calendar, so he had to use mine! Plus he bought the 10 minute trainer on ebay also and had the same problem.. but I guess I'm a good friend cause I let him use my copy :)

I'm a member of SP, but funny enough, I found this team when doing a search to learn more about this particular workout. I was interested in his "super stack" approach. I also found a trainer's review of the workout series and thought I'd post it here:
shapingmyway.blogspot.com/2008/07/re

ew-tony-hortons-10-minute-trainer.html

Also, I'd love to hear from others who've worked with his program consistently ... still seeing results?

In general, I think any exercise will deliver results when we do it consistently, so I'm not looking for anything easy or magical, just something that maximizes a workout when time is short.

I just did my first 10 minute Workout (Cardio). Wow, am I out of shape. I could do about 1/4 to 1/2 of each exercise - the rest of the time I was catching my breath and letting my heart rate get sort of back to normal I felt the burn in my legs afterwards. Maybe in a month or so, I'll be able to do the 10 minute program without stopping.

Just an update on Ten Minute Trainer for anyone interested. I've been doing the workouts everyday, at least one if not two, for the past two weeks. I've lost 9 lbs and 5.125 total inches. I definitely think it's a good investment for anyone short on time!

I started on Sunday, and have done 2 10-min workouts for the past three days. You definitely break a sweat, and I can feel the burn, so it's got to be doing something. My only complaint so far is that the ab routine requires a lot of upper body strength which I don't have enough of yet, so I couldn't get through it, but I re-did one of the other exercises during the ones I couldn't do and kept up that way. From what I've done so far, I think as long as I keep up with it, it'll make a difference. I'll keep you posted.

Ok, just got mine on Monday! Started it yesterday, and I have to say that it is definitely a workout, but it's just right for me. There are no breaks between switching exercises, so it's a little difficult to figure out what I'm supposed to be doing, but I'm sure it's easy to get used to.
I don't think you have to do it 100% at first, but since I've done P90x before, it was okay.

I just wanted to say that i've had the 10 minute trainer for 4 months now. I only did it for 3 weeks at first and then the holidays came around and i got so busy. but now i've started back on it. i've been doing 3 of the 10 minute workouts 6 days out of the week, following the schedule that came with the deluxe package. Just within the past week coworkers, family and friends have mentioned how i'm looking thinner! And that's just 2 weeks! I can already tell a difference in my stomach, and i was able to somewhat fit into my pre-pregnancy pants!(I still have a ways to go, but i could get my butt in them and zip them up!!!I had a baby 8 months ago) As a mom of an 8 month old and working full-time, it's wonderful to not have to go to the gym to work out or take an hour+ to do a workout. It's quick and I'm already seeing results. And I feel more energetic. I think it's great! And had no problems with Beachbody.

Yes, I've heard P90X is very intense and that's why I cannot do due to a back injury. I don't have that resistance in my back, that's why I thought 10 minute exercises would be perfect.

My husband bought P90X (which is another Tony Horton production) and I did that workout with him for about 3 weeks. I have to say it was really hard in the beginning, but after the first couple weeks, it got better, and I got stronger, lost weight, and felt better.
Unfortunately, those workouts are at least 50 minutes long, and getting home at 6:00pm did not allow me time to make dinner, play with the kids, and be able to have a family meal.
I'm really considering buying the 10-minute trainer, because it seems like just the right thing for me.
Anyone else have any comments about it?

I have been using the 10 Minute Trainer on and off for the last two weeks. As many other people who are trying to get in shape, I have a problem with motivating myself to work out. Currently, I have the time but it's still hard to make myself do exercises instead of something else. So, I decided to try the ten minute trainer because it's short. Since then, I have fallen in love with it. I have bought a few exercise programs in the past, and actually tried a few of them emoticon . I am sticking to this one because it does make you work hard, makes you sweat as a result (which is good in an exercise routine), you can really feel it in your sore muscles the next day and is over before you know it. I am not doing it as often as I would like to but hey, what's the rush- the summer is more than 5 months away emoticon !

I haven't had problems with Beachbody, but I have had problems with UPS. I wish they (Beachbody) offered different shipping options. Started 10 minute trainer today. It was tough. Am also doing the 10 day lean jean plan. I can't wait to see results. This 10 day eating plan is so much easier to follow than most because it does not require foods that i have never eaten before or heard of. I will let you all know how it goes.

I just ordered the 10 minute trainer and I am sooo looking forward to starting it. My problem is I hate spending long hours at the gym and I give up easily... I need someone to show me exactly what to do and it needs to be quick and efficient! I think that this will work for me. I am so motivated...

I have lost 43 lbs about 2 years ago... gained about 10 since.. now I want to loose a bit more this time and also firm up.

I will let you know how it works out for me ;-)

good luck to all of you!

Wow Mazermoo! Sad story man, I thank God I didn't order from them. I did get the 10 minute trainer from a different company than beachbody and have actually gotten the upgraded pack now also because I need a heavier resistance level. I should have just gotten the Deluxe pack from the get go.

So far in my opinion its been worth it. Anyone else using the workout?

Well, I saw the infomercial, was interested, decided to check it out.
I go on the site, add to cart, and it keeps asking you to "Continue".
I walk through the process, they end up talking you into $148 worth of junk that they are so excited to offer you the option of 2 payments billed 'automatically' to your credit card.
I'm interested in the program, but I am not a big fan of my account being hit without my immediate notice.
Anyway, I never hit "SUBMIT", after thinking it over, though I had gone to the very end of the checkout, and had entered all of my information. I decided not to get it so I closed the site and went on with my day.
At midnight I get a text on my cell saying my card was charged $85.81. From Beach Body.
I call the next morning, they say, well you entered your info so we sent it. I said yeah but i didn't press submit, and i never got a confirmation or order number or anything. she says, well yes but it went through anyway. I NEVER CLICKED SUBMIT!!!
I wanted to cancel the order. "It shipped already" she says. I'm very upset now because it hasn't even been a full 12 hours! She says when it comes, call and we'll tell you how to return it, and refund you, minus S&H. I was HOT! So it hasn't come yet, but when it does, i will be calling to return it, and i will be keeping the "free gifts" for my S&H!
i don't care if it would make me lose 10 lbs a day, i don't like the way they do business, and I will NOT even try anything in the box but the free stuff.
I hope you all have better experiences than I did with them.
GOOD LUCK!!!!!

To CAZ_KITTEN-

I wanted to say that I feel the same way about beachbody, reason why I went with www.ultimatefitnessgear.com for buying the video. Even though beachbody produces good workouts, I only hear negative things about their company.

Keep us posted on your success and how the 1o minute trainer affects your life for the better!

Hey! Its a great workout because I'm so busy with life that its even hard to get on here and post! I just found the time to reply to you. So far the 10 minute trainer has proven itself to me. I feel more energetic and healthy. How can that be, if I only exercise 10 to 20 minutes each day? I believe its because I am actually becoming more active and am now feeling the affects of the workout. I have heard many great things about the workout, much more positive than the negative.

I have purchased 10 minute trainer and I LOVE IT!!! I've seen results in less than a week. Flatter tummy and more tones arms. I'm switching between cardio and whole body 6 days a week, and I give my all. I am dripping sweat afterwards and puffing hard. I also have done Power 90, P90X, Slim in 6, and Turbo Jam. I do love Beachbody products, but HATE their service. I almost stopped ordering because of their mistake, but I love Tony. He gets the job done.

My experiences with this products were so-so. one of the problems with this plan is that you can not use it with greased floors. One day, as part of my daily routine, I greased my floors, and then decided to use this product. Well, during the 7th minute of this routine (when it starts to get very intense), I slipped, and chipped my front tooth on my coffee table (was bleeding too). My wife saw this, and insisted that she called 911. Once the ambulence was there, I was mortified that I could of done anything like this, and this was very visable in my facial expression. The EMTs who rushed to the scene seemed to be poking fun at my routine, and my subsequent actions.

If you do not grease your floors regularly, you still should not consider this as one of your top choices. However, since this incident, my neighbors now think I am a hillbilly, because of my chipped tooth. However, my co-workers now appreciate my new weight, as I lost quite a few pounds in the emergency room. Also, another reprocution of tihs incident is that I now only grease my floors every other day. While some days I can't wake up to the freshness of my wooden floor, gliding along with my black and white socks, it does save on costs.

Also, most of the people on the infomercial were much hotter than before their weight loss "transformation". I MEAN COME ON, YOU PAY MONEY TO LOOK MORE UNATTRACTIVE, IT JUST DOESN'T MAKE SENCE. They didn't even show any real fat people, as this exercize might not help them.. On a lighter note, the price doesn't cutit either. EVEN IF they cut that 3rd payment leaving 2 payments left, its still a ripoff. S&H.. I mean come on...

In conclusion, while this product may have its highs and lows... actually just don't buy it, its a ripoff. Just run/walk every day, and have a good diet, and you won't need any of these "fad" products.

So how's the 10 minute trainer workout going?

I have yet to order it, but would like to hear your experiences!

Thanks to all who have responded, I appreciate it.

I ordered Power 90 years ago and had no problems with Beachbody, but I know everyone's experiences are different. I, too, saw the infomercial and seriously considered ordering it. I have since changed my mind and will be ordering Barry's Bootcamp on Thursday. It's longer than 10 min. but I think I'll like it better.

I just joined this group mainly because I was interested in the new 10 minute trainer workout that I saw on TV but I see so many complaints about beach body and the problems people have with them. If you look at their BBB profile its kinda scary.

I just ordered from a company called www.ultimatefitnessgear.com/t
ony-horto
n-10-minute-trainer.html
and they look legit, in fact I think I saved a few extra dollars from buying the product from them.

Anyways I just wanted to say that I am pumped to get started and thanks for all of your post, its really motivating that people are working out and doing it 10 minutes at a time, that just want I need!

PS. Wanted to know if anyone has seen results from using their 10 minute program lately?

As I flipped through the channels this morning I came across this infomercial again on the FUSE channel.

It really looks good enough to buy I tell ya. And they includes a resientence band and cardio band. But then again SP has so many great videos and so does youtube. I just need the motivation to keep going...5 minutes to 10 minutes a day even. This is such a great team, the name alone is encouraging that YES WE CAN DO IT in just 10 minutes!

I hope everyone is doing well!

If Beachbody isn't a trustworthy business, you can probably buy Tony Horton's Trainer Program on E-bay or Amazon.com they have a lot of exercise dvd/videos there.

Beachbody is a MESS! I got TurboJam from there 2 years ago. I love TurboJam but beach body will try and milk your credit card for every dime they can.

hi everyone! I was wondering if anyone has used Tony Horton's 10 Minute Trainer Program, it's a product of Beachbody, the same people who do Slim in 6 and Hop Hop Abs.

I went to their website and thought, 10 minutes... that's like what this Team talks about. Just wondered about ordering it. www.beachbody.com/product/fitness_pr

I know infomercials are there to sale product, but your opinions are more like family and friends to me, THANKS!
