I am home for Christmas this year. I was at emerge and I went home with a whole way of having to eat. So I am resting as told, no tree up. I just did christmas cards but half of what I usually do.Just too exhausted. So I will put up my christmas lighted basket.
My doctor has put me on G. free and so far I am fine my body with it. I also had diverticulitis pain as well. So was put on a strict liquid diet. Oh that has to be the worse. I could write a book on that.
My poor body played havoc there. This week I get to eat. I am on G.free. Away with all my brown bread, white flours.
For starters. I can have baked carrots the way one would do a baked potaot with a wee bit of Soya oil and also next night another veggie. No veggies with seeds. Rice, baked potato and apple sauce. I am doing great. I can only have one Milk.Soya. Lots of water.
I have the honey G free cereal I call them cheeros with the soya milk.. I eat jello.
I eat plain rice crackers. Yummie.
So here I am a whole way of eating along with my other group as well as this group.
Since this is all new to me, I am learning to deal with a new diet and the holidays. I didn't get a tree up this year and will get my cards sent late but right now I am concentrating on getting stronger with each day and taking this diet one day at a time.
Last night we went out to a Greek resturant and I think I handled it all quite well. I ordered marinated chicken breast with roasted potatoes and steamed mixed vegs. Asked if they could give me mostly carrots which they tried to do. DD had an appetizer and DH ordered dessert but I didn't let it bother me. This is my new way of eating and I can live with it.
At this point, my weight loss is on the back burner while I discover a new way of eating and getting my health under control.
I am interested in knowing how all of you deal with the holidays, the stress, and the food during all the holidays?
