Sara,

You got some great advice on getting certified. The Spin certification from Maddog is the most widely accepted one out in the market.

When I was thinking about it I talked to a bunch of people including the manager of the instructors at the gym I go to. She basically told me the best one out of all of them would most likely be maddogg because it is the most universal one. No matter what type your gym uses they would probably take you on if you are maddog aka spinning certified. I went to www.spinning.com and found out where they were teaching around me, and took the class at that studio. After 1 year I was ready to renew my license even though I had 2 years because I had taken a bunch of classes online. I love the fact that I can do it at my own pace and take it when I have the time.

The road to success is not straight. There is a curve called Failure, a loop called Confusion, speed bumps called Friends, red lights called Enemies, caution lights called Family. You will have flats called Jobs. But, if you have a spare called Determination, an engine called Perseverance, insurance called Faith, a driver called Jesus, you will make it to a place called Success.

First go to your gym fitness co-ordinator.

Find out what certifications they need. There are a lot of certs out there, some your gym will accept, others they wont.

The above site gives a widely accepted cert. My gym LA Fitness has their own class that will certify you for their gyms. They also accept the spinning.com cert.

24 hour Fitness has their own class.

I like everyone here have come to really love spin. So, much now that even when there isn't a class I go into the spin room and zone out on my own. I am interested in if anyone knows how to get certified as an instructor or what web sites are most reliable...
Thanks for any info
