I'm currently working beans into every meal. Here are the benefits so far:
- blood sugar is rock solid (I'm diabetic) - suppresses appetite between meals - improved digestive health
As to the last point, I've really noticed that my GI tract likes the beans in my diet. Food is moving through better, almost no gas at all, and no bloating or pain in the gut. Beans are full of water soluble fibre, so you can't go wrong.
Hope this helps.
Just another camera toting redneck!

I'm not a big fan of fruits & veggies. I have to be in the mood to eat them. I've noticed that if I'm not careful I won't eat any in a day. I do my meal planning ahead of time & there are some weeks that I just plan the main dish. I do this to create my grocery list.
I don't like apples, unless it's applesauce or apple juice or cider.
What are your favorite high fiber fruits & veggies & how to you serve them?
