I PROBABLY AM LATE ON THIS , BUT ANY ONE WHO HAS NOT

HAD A COLONOSCOPY DONT WORRY . GO GET IT!

THE ONLY HARD PART IS THE PREP DRINK AND IT IS

HALF WHAT IT USE TO BE..YOU CAN DO IT TO SAVE YOUR

LIFE OR FIND OUT WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU .

YOUR ASLEEP FOR THE REST AND YOU WILL NOT EVEN

RECALL IT SO NO NEED TO BE EMBARRSED ABOUT IT AT ALL.

EVEN IF YOU WERE AWAKE , BETTER TO BE EMBARRSED THAN

DIE FROM ..NOT KNOWING.

I FOUND OUT I HAVE DIVERTICULOSIS SO I KNOW I DO

NOT HAVE CANCER. THAT IN ITSELF IS WORTH THE PREP

ALSO I HAVE CHOSEN TO EAT LESS OR NO SUGAR

MORE FIBER SO AS OF LATE I AM DOING GREAT.

Thank you so much for the information. You have been a big help. I am very nervous, and YOU have helped. I get mine done at 7:45am. Thank you again!

Hi Mazyjo,

If your experience is like mine, then you don't have to worry. There was no pain! I was entirely awake for mine, and all I felt was some discomfort as the scope went in. Afterward you need to let yourself pass gas to let the air out, but if you do there shouldn't be any pain.

My results were good. I have only 5-6 diverticula and only one of them was deep (the doc thinks that's probably the one that caused the diverticulitis attack). There was no inflammation, no sign of infection, no polyps, etc. I am really relieved.

Let us know you yours goes tomorrow. I'll be thinking about you!

Heather

Hi Mazyjo. I don't really have an answer for you, but I do have sympathy. I'm really nervous too! I have to start my prep in about 20 minutes and I'm dreading it. I should be able to let you know by tomorrow evening if I had any pain. Good luck on Tuesday!

I am about to have my first colo since having diverticulitis problems. Has anyone had pain after finishing a colonoscopy (with diverticulitis problems?)? I am nervous!--Mazyjo
