I talked to my doctor last week and he said that either Prodium or Metamucil -- both psyllium fibre based products -- would be excellent if I'm not getting enough fibre in my diet. He felt it would be better if I could get as much fibre naturally, however, and leave supplements as a last resort.
I have two types of fiber supplements in my pantry. The Metamucil is psyillium and the Benefiber is some kinda wheat fiber. Any opinions on which kind is best for diverticulitis? (I would ask my doc, but can't get in until 6/17!!)--Mazyjo
