I realized long ago that by making resolutions, I set myself up for failure. So once again, I REALLY would like to drop my 25, ok 27, pounds. I've got a big trip to Europe this summer and don't want to be hauling the extra weight around! Besides, smaller clothes pack easier, taking up less space. emoticon

So far, my resolution is to sit down and decide/write my resolutions! :) I have a lot of things I want to do and/or change...some will be a lot of fun even. The beginning of the year has just been too crazy busy for me to find time to focus and think...maybe today.

I have a few: 1)Go to bed by 10p.m. (i have a full time job and am in grad school full time, so this is a true challenge) 2)Severely cut sugar and carb consumption 3)workouts in morning (either speedwalking or yoga dvd). I am introducing one at a time, first week get into normal bedtime and cut most sugars, 2nd week start regular workouts. I start on Monday with regular bedtimes....

Mine is to eat more fruits and veggies and to make sure i get my calcium daily, since I just had my first bone density test and have mild bone loss. emoticon

So far so good, I have had 1200 mg of calcium every day of 2009 so far! emoticon

Though not strictly a new year related resolution, I am determined not to disappoint myself by relaxing my current health standards. My goal is to lose about 23 lbs. by mid-June -- It's an admittedly arbitrary goal (I have no events to attend), but it's what I want! I've actually lost about six pounds in the past two weeks and my pants are absolutely not as skin-suckingly tight as they were at Christmas.

I can and I will.

Mine is to keep up a daily routine of a morning work out and evening walk, minimum 5 days a week. I need to also get into better sleeping habits since 4 hours a night is not good for general health.

My goal is to be able to wear a swimsuit proudly by June 1st and a bridesmaid's dress with as little embarrassment as possible by Hallowe'en. Bring on the orange chiffon!

to stop eating pancakes, waffles, or muffins or that kind of stuff m-f. and to lose 40 pounds by our big vacation to daytona in july! :) oh and drink more water!

Mine is to stop eating out so often!

My coworkers are so bad... they order out every day and I've been way too easily persuaded to join in. Now, I have a fridge stocked with lunchmeats and bread and soups, so I'm hoping I'll be able to resist temptation!
