I just noticed that you say you wake up with the intention of exercising, just can't get to the gym. How about if you use the videos on SP -- do 3 of Coach Nicole's 10-min sessions. Or find some exercises on TV if you don't have any DVDs. Anything to get it started. What do you think?

It is also good if you can find someone who shares the same goals as you, someone who you can go to the gym with. I find that when you are counting on someone and they are counting on you, you are more likely to exercise and make better choices than when you try to do it on your own. I have a workout buddy and before the holidays hit we were exercising at least 5 out of 7 days for about 10 weeks straight! We've got to get back on it now that life has returned to "normal"!

I suffer from the same problem! I have a elliptical sitting on my back porch and I know I will fee better when I work out-I just lack motivation! With me I just need to stop making excuses. I lost 50 pounds and have put it back on-had a baby:-) I find if you find a reward to motivate you for working out-new outfit, new hair do, etc. Something non-fatting! Lol That may get you going. It is so hard in this state to be motivated in the winter time:-)

Every Time I hear that dirty word "Exercise" I wash my mouth out with "Chocolate" !!!!!!!!

I'm on a low-crap diet and a get-off-your-butt exercise plan.

I have lost myself, I have gone to find myself, should I return before I get back, Please have me wait!

Can you make yourself commit to going to the gym for just one week, say 3 times? Take your exercise clothes with you when you leave in the morning. Look forward to going to the gym after your classes. Try the elliptical machine, burns a lot a calories for not so much effort and you can watch TV usually while you do it; then do some upper body weights, and you're done. After the first week, I bet you'll want to continue.

I ride my horse when I can, believe it or not you can burn some major calories riding. I also play my kinect games when I don't have the time for a ride or it's crappy outside. My favorite right now is dance central.

What I've been told about exercise is that you need to find something that you enjoy doing other wise its going to become like work. So find an activity you like something fun that you will stick too. I like playing tennis....I suck but I have a good time and get a great workout since I have to chase the ball a lot.

Okay, so, my New Years Resolution was to lose 20 pounds. So far, I've been doing really well cutting back on calories, fat, and sodium, and I've been trying to cook with whole ingredients rather than getting fast food or eating processed food. Being a college student, sometimes it's hard for me to cook, so obviously I have to eat out sometimes, and in those situations, I've been using the 'Eat This, Not That' book, and I think that's been really helpful too.

This is my problem:
I can find zero motivation to exercise. I'm at school right now, with a gym approximately 1/10 of a mile from me, and I cannot find the will to go. I think that it'll be too much of a hassle. I'm making every excuse in the book not to go. Every single morning I wake up with the intention of exercising that day, but I never ever seem to go to the gym.

Does anyone have any motivation for me? Any suggestions of how to make exercise an activity I would be interested in doing?
