I agree. Even though I still go for walks, I don't go as often. It gets dark sooner, so I don't go out to the exercise classes that I would if it were Spring & Summer. My sinuses are screaming at me, & I think it's b/c I go for walks in the cold... and it seems like just the "cold" makes me feel ill. I'll be happier when it warms up. Altho, today was a beautiful, sunny 41 degrees. With the sunshine, it felt much warmer. I took advantage of it and took a LOOONG walk. All bets are off when it rains, tho. I won't go out in the rain. Nope, nope, nope.
Hi everyone! It's different for me,just the opposite. I go to the gym 4x a week and do zumba on Thurs. I workout on machines Mon,Wed,Fri, Tues I'm starting water Aerobics! The winter is when I want to work out, but it's hard for me to eat my fruits in the winter. Then when Summer comes, I don't feel like working out as much. I guess I"m just weird!

It's snowing like crazy here in SW Michigan today. Oops, I missed my window of opportunity. As soon as it lets up enough that I can see what's in front of me, I'm going out for my run. Can't stand exercising inside another minute!

I too have had a hard time motivating! Even though we haven't any snow to speak of, we've had some cold days! Add to that that we had Thanksgiving, then I moved RIGHT after that, then it was Christmas time... Recently I've been so busy that I fell out of my routine with my workout partner. I hope we'll get back in the swing of thing here now that everything has settled down. I still haven't finished my "workout area" at my new place though.

I had joined the challenge, but found everyone was talking about the DVD's. Since I didn't have them yet, I dropped out - found it all a little confusing as I'm new to Spark. Once I get the videos tomorrow maybe I'll rejoin the challenge - thanks!

I completely understand how you feel. Between the cold and the darkness, it is very hard to get moving. Spark DVD's are a very smart choice. Also, I find joining a challenge keeps me accountable. This January's Jumpstart Workout Challenge is awesome. Window shopping, walking the mall, taking the stairs instead of the elevator, there are tons of videos in the Fitness section - just 10 minutes a day - every little bit helps. You can do it!

Finding it hard to get motivated to exercise with the cold dreary weather we're having. I think in my previous life I must have been a bear, because all I want to do is hibernate! Ordered the Spark DVD's and they should arrive tomorrow ... time to crawl out of the cave and get active!
